I got these to use on my basement windows. Wow do they ever work well. They go off , with not much to trigger them. I also have on first floor windows by the street. Someone has really loud base, and it sets them off when they drive by. I also bought extra batteries for them as well. I like them for security, as they are not as visible as cameras, that may or may not work. So many people have those fake cameras, why bother, when you can something that will at least alert you to a break in. Good price as well.

effective alarm
It is a good product, easy to install, useful in these times where thieves use breaking into the house at dawn as a mechanism to illegally enter country houses. I made a second order to protect my windows.

Loud deterent, sensitive enough to work when needed. Adhere well to a variety of surfaces.

They work ok
They work ok. Some of them are more sensitive than others and one goes off even if it is set to “off.” I tried to pull that one off the window, but it might be stuck there forever. I’m not sure what I’m going to do when I move out. I guess I’ll get a metal scraper and some goo gone. They are very loud and the volume control does nothing.

Works very well
These are an inexpensive way to stop a burglar. They do go off every once in a while, from a loud noise in a false alarm but they shut off after 45 seconds.I have installed 24 of them a year ago. When I went to replace the batteries, two of them were bad and had to be replaced.I don’t think a burglar can get inside the house without these sensors making a loud noise to warn whoever is home.

Does not work after battery change
There is a good chance the alarm will no longer function when you first replace the factory batteries. I have probably over 10 of these set up on various windows around my house since 2023, and I went around to change the batteries finally (in 2025) on the ones that stopped working.Today, after putting good batteries in three different mounted units, none of them worked. (And a couple that I changed did work after.) I noticed when this problem happened for the third time that one of the metal “arms” that should be connecting to the battery inside no longer reaches the battery. (Note: This alarm uses three LR44 button batteries.)This was my first time changing the batteries on all three of these alarms, so I think the factory batteries were jammed in so hard they effectively were the last time the alarm would connect to any batteries. There is about a 60% chance of failure according to what I worked on today that new batteries will not bring this thing back to life.Other comments: I do not like the “ambiguous” sensitivity dial. I would much rather have a low/high switch or something that is concrete. For example, is the lowest sensitivity on the dial effectively “off”? I do not know, and most people probably do not want to smack their windows or alarms to find out. Obviously, I do not recommend the WSDCAM alarm.ALTERNATIVE 1: WINDOWS: I can however recommend EVA LOGIK alarms if you want a blinking light on top and a “warning” label facing outward from your window. (Keep in mind the blinking light might draw attention, though, so I put them on the back side of my house where it is not obvious to anyone but a would-be robber.) I also like that the Eva Logik takes two common AAA batteries, which last a long time. And instead of an ambiguous dial, the Eva Logik uses a simple +/-/off switch for three distinct options.ALTERNATIVE 2: DOORS: The GE Personal Security door alarms (with chime feature) are great if you want to track when someone comes in/out of a door without an actual alarm, but it features a full alarm, too. We have three of these, and they have been great. They use four LR44 button batteries, but the batteries last a long time. (I have not changed them in at least two years.)

Too sensitive, if you slam a door or close patio screen door it will yell very loudly at you

AWESOM – Alarm Sensors made with criminals in mind
Until I found these units this year, 2020, I have never been able to find this item before where the battery compartment is not acessible and easy for the criminals to figure out. I purchased one brand and when the criminals entered my home, they dismounted the sensor alarms’ batteries. That was going to be an expense to keep the unit. I LOVE these Wsdcam Glass Break Sensor Alarm units – finally the criminals will have to pull the paint from the front door to think about how they will dismantle the battery compartment. NICE – I have to applaud the company that finally got it together. These units are as described and recommend the purchase.Because once you have a home invasion, the perps can and most likely will continue to return to your home to collect stuff until they are satisfied. You still shop for stuff. Imagine someone you do not know in your home often looking through your stuff. It is an invasion of privacy. I added 3 of these units, another type of unit and a unit to the ceiling – all 125dB. The noise of 4 125 dB units is mighty loud. Please keep in mind that pets have sensitive hearing and just one of these 125 dB units is too loud for my dog.

These Wsdcam glass break alarms are definitely loud and sensitive, which is great for security. They respond quickly to vibration or movement and will alert you instantly if something hits the window.But they are extremely sensitive — almost too sensitive. We installed one near a high-traffic area, and it would go off for almost any movement, so we eventually had to disable it. I also made the mistake of putting one on the front door, and now no one can knock without the alarm going off immediately. It’s simply too reactive for that location.They might work well on quiet windows or areas with very little movement, but for busy spots or entry doors, the sensitivity becomes more annoying than helpful.
