Amazing blinds, good value quality/price, great customer service.
I ordered 3 blinds for the bedroom, which has been great for my partner and I. My partner likes the room dark at night and I need the morning light to wake up. By using the smart blinds with the smart hub, I was able to program the blinds to close at sunset and open at my wake up time. Using automation I can also as Siri to control them by voice.Customer service was very supportive, they send me videos to help me.The quality of the fabric is excellent and they are about 30% cheaper than equivalent blinds.Update on the smart hub:I was able to pair the hub to my network using AP mode. The explanation on how to perform AP mode pairing is detailed on the Smart Life app help page, or using the Chat Bot.February 15 review:I’m unable to pair with the smart hub. I’ve ensure all requirements were met, followed instructions, set the router to the 2.4GHz WiFi frequency. I’m still unable to pair the smart hub using the smart life app.

Worth the price! 🛜 (paring note)
I have to say I’m not happy that I had to spend an additional $50 on the Smart Hub after spending so much on my blinds but my IKEA blinds require the same extra USB dongle pairing cost. I guess that’s the price you pay because they are wireless. But it does arrive in a fancy-schmancy box! 😉$50 well spent! I no longer have to scramble for the remotes in the dark to raise the shades. The remote controls on the Canisteo blinds is difficult to navigate in the dark!SPEND THE MONEY! You won’t be disappointed!Note: when pairing your blinds, there is a video that shows that you open the remote and hold the P2 button for two seconds until the shade jogs, this did not work for me. I had to physically press the button on the actual shade (next to the charging port…the manual button) for two seconds until a jogged and then it allowed the app to recognize the blinds.

Worked OK until I added 4th and 5th blind.
This product worked well with 3 blinds. I set it up for Google Home automation such that my blinds opened every morning and closed every night automatically. I then added the 4th and 5th blinds, and the gateway started working intermittently. The farthest blind is 40′ away from the gateway with no walls between. Some days it would open/close and others days, it failed. The support person had seen this problem before and sent me a replacement. The replacement would not allow me to add any blinds at all. I was referred to engineering, and based on the questions I’m being asked by the engineer, I don’t believe this is a problem Canisteo currently has the skillset to fix. Good news is that the blind wireless remote control always works, and when the gateway fails, I revert back to manually opening/closing with the wireless remote.

Works the way it is supposed to, the shades are my problem.
