Nursing Home Care
Love this! I bought the fingerbot to put in my mom’s room in the nursing home. I have it place so I can push the call button for her from my phone when she can’t find it. This has been an essential piece to stay connected with her and partner with the nursing staff to help and care for her.

Do Not Buy for Traditional Toggle Switches
This is my 2nd go round with Fingerbot, the first being 2 years ago (I think it was 2 years ago). The software was garbage and I never could connect the Fingerbot to my phone. The instructions contained a lot of an Asian language, and online support or manuals just were non-existent). I returned it.Seeing Fingerbot still available on Amazon (and yes, the company may have changed, but the software interface definitely did), I wanted to try it again. My issue is with my porch light traditional toggle switch. It gets dark where I live around 4pm these days and I want to be able to turn on my porch light before I get home from work (on a schedule if at all possible). I also did not want to install a different type of switch.I was able to connect Fingerbot to its software on my phone, but noticed that every time I access the software, there is a 2-3 second delay in connection. Fingerbot states that it is compatible with Alexa (even better for us as that is what our smart home is controlled by), but alas, programming Alexa didn’t work because that delay in connection means Alexa tries to activate the switch and it ends up just failing. So there’s issue #1.I went back and just programmed a schedule through its own software. It works! But the one thing that is making me nervous is that ON has the toggle switch all the way on. OFF does not have the toggle switch all the way off. That’s issue #2. The Fingerbot does not move with a long enough stroke in order to accomplish that. Instead, the Fingerbot moves the switch just far enough down so the light turns off, but the switch itself is still north of 90 degrees. I’m pretty sure that is not optimal and could cause issues, so I am likely going to just remove Fingerbot from the switch tomorrow.It’s a heck of a lot better than it was two years ago, but still not good enough. My recommendation to the company is to either not market it for traditional toggle switches, or develop one where the stroke itself is long enough to turn the light all the way off (in that the switch is all the way down).

Does What It Says
Essentially, this is a remote controlled smart servo motor. It does what is says….. The only thing that I need to do is discover its practicality. I gave it 5-stars based on fulfilling its claim, but the need for the product itself is what’s in question. Most things that I would control would be more effectively controlled with a smart plug or switch. Also, this leaves a big footprint. So, you’ll have to tape a big block on whichever device or button you want manipulated. I found that it works best on momentary toggle switches and not so much a traditional on/off switch as it can only go in one vertical direction.It was easy to install and setup… less than 5 minutes.It’s a cool gadget that I will find some creative use for!

Good little finger bot
I ended up using this on my cpap machine to be able to control it from my phone or with a voice assistant. It connects thru Tuya and works very well. It’s strong enough to push the button in and remain in place. I really liked that it came with all of these different finger sizes as well as the hoop for being able to do different switches. Was able to bring it into home assistant as well.
