    Adds Basic Wireless Capabilities.
This is my first smart plug, so I wasn’t sure all I would be able to do with it.I initially was trying to debate what exactly I’d use this for, and then I thought how annoyed I get with my candle warmer, because it’s control is in a difficult spot to get to.This was super easy to set up. Both with the brand app and via Alexa. I did have to reset it once for Alexa, but I believe it was because our wifi signal isn’t super strong in the back of the house. One mention though, as far as I can tell, you can only have it connected to one or the other; the brand app or Alexa.Once set up, I excitedly turned it on, waited a few minutes, turned it off, then back on and… Nothing. Absolutely nada. This won’t work with a button switch power supply, which is a bummer. It’ll only work with things that power on when plugged in or power on with a pull/toggle switch. Big sad.So, instead, I plugged our bedroom lamp into this and it’s worked well. My lamp is in relatively easy reach, but I’m sure it’ll come in handy.I’ve seen threads where people mention they plug their non smart washer or drier into these, and then use the power monitor to get notified when it shuts off, and I can see that being insanely helpful, especially since our drier is not a smart one, and our laundry is in our shed.Really though, other than for power monitoring, these are best for basic things like lighting, wax warmers (switch) or plain drip coffee pots.I’m happy I got it, but it’s not quite the wow tool I thought it would be. Maybe I need to think of more applications.

Quick Setup Smart Plug with Matter Integration
This smart plug is easy to get up and running, thanks to the Bluetooth-assisted setup, which makes initial pairing fast and painless. Matter support is a big plus, allowing it to integrate smoothly into an existing smart home ecosystem without much effort. Build quality feels solid, and it works reliably for controlling lamps and small appliances. While the companion app is well designed and intuitive, I primarily use this plug through Home Assistant, where it performs consistently. One thing to note is that some features are limited if you choose not to use the manufacturer’s app, which may matter depending on how you plan to manage your devices. That said, for basic on and off control and Matter-based integration, it does exactly what it should. Overall, it is a dependable smart plug with quick setup and good compatibility, especially if you are already invested in a Matter-supported smart home setup. I would also note it is a bit pricey, but high quality.

Easy Matter setup and reliable smart home control
Setting up this smart plug with Matter was incredibly easy. It was recognized in Home Assistant and ready to go. The app is clean and intuitive, making it simple to create schedules and monitor energy usage. The Matter certification is a big selling point for me. It works seamlessly with several platform, so you’re not locked into one ecosystem. If you switch platforms down the road, this plug will still work without any hassle. The compact design is great, it doesn’t block the second outlet, which is a common problem with bulkier smart plugs. It feels solid and well-made, and the flame-retardant construction gives me peace of mind when using it with higher-wattage devices like space heaters or coffee makers.I’ve been using it to automate a lamp, and it’s been rock-solid reliable. No dropped connections, no random disconnects, just consistent performance. The energy monitoring feature is a nice bonus, it’s interesting to see how much power the lamp uses.If you’re looking for a Matter-compatible smart plug that just works without any fuss, this is a solid choice.

    Super Convenient Smart Plug
I got this smart plug to automate my living room lamp and it has made daily routines so much easier. The price felt pretty fair, especially considering it’s Matter-certified and works with Alexa and Google Home without needing a hub. It feels sturdy and well-built, and the companion app setup was surprisingly easy for a beginner like me. I love the energy monitoring feature — it’s been great for keeping track of how much power my devices actually use. Overall, it feels like a great value for money and a quality addition to my smart home setup.

Reasonable functionality – should stay connected for this investment
Very easy setupusing the QR code. Instantly connected into my Apple Home and obeys voice commands. One odd note is that after initially connecting fine and working for a few weeks, it now is flashing like it cannot find the wifi. I readded it to Home and it simply duplicated the listing like everything was completely forgotten. Otherwise, when it is working it works great. We will see if it gets forgotten repeatedly or this was a one time blip. The build feels solid and it fits snugly into the outlet. The button on the side for manual power is a bit small but works fine once you locate it with your finger. It is small enough to not interfere with the second vertical outlet in the set, although will take up two horizonal slots in a quad plug. Overall, I am happy but not extatic that I acquired this item.

East to setup with both Echo and Home Assistant using matter. For some reason I had to set up with Echo first, as I couldn’t get a second pairing code thru HA that worked, but could with Echo to use with HA.

Wireless plug controllers are nice and all, as long as they line up with the current ecosystem you’re already in. While you can control basic functions through Alexa and Google, the cool stuff is in the D-Link app.Pros:- Broad compatibility.- Wattage tracking via the D-Link app.- Small-ish. It’s about the width of a standard outlet decorative plate. Might not play well with power bars depending on how the direction the outlets are oriented.Cons:- Alexa and Google can access the best feature in my opinion (Tracking your wattage per hour).Overall, if you’ve ever had an issue where your power bill spikes all of a sudden and you’re not sure what’s causing it, a device like this super handy for it as you don’t need to be physically there to monitor the device, you can use the app to track the power usage. Also helpful for lamps with hard to reach cable power buttons and similar things. I’d recommend them with mild reservations.Hope this helped!

Although the form factor is perfect, the mater connectivity only allows switching on and off. None of the nice monitoring features are showing in Google home.

How I wish all my smart plugs were that easy to use. I’ve tried several ones over the years. Some that required an app, some that were supposed to work flawlessly over Matter, but would constantly disconnect. This one though worked right out the box. I plugged it in, and in a mere second, my phone was asking me if I wanted to add a new Matter device to my Google Home, which I did, and tada. I know it can also work with the D-Link Aquila Pro AI app, through which you can set timers and see your power consumption. And while those are pretty cool and useful, I’d rather just access everything through my Home app, and it’d be great if they did add some of these options to it someday. As for the plug itself, it’s rather compact. I appreciate that they’ve made it wider than tall so that it can fit with something else plugged into an outlet. It also has a single button on the side, which makes operation easy. We’ll need to see if it still works as well in the long run, but so far, it’s been very reliable.
