ZOSI 2MP 1080P Security Camera
After a terrible hail storm I had to replace three of my ZOSI cameras and I found them on Amazon. The installation was super easy and the picture quality is amazing, I believe it is even better than my old cameras. The DVR did not have an issue recognizing or recording from the new cameras with that being said it was great not having to adjust or attempt to program your DVR. I am a big fan of the ZOSI security cameras they offer the best quality and protection for your house. The 2MP is compatible with the ZOSI DVR as I mentioned I just plugged it in and it worked. Great product at a great price highly recommended.

A good system but wasn’t what I was looking for. Not really compatible with linux
This looks like a good little security system but I returned it unopened after some reading. It was similar to an old system I already had. A bit over-priced imho. I re-ordered a different system that has PTZ cameras and is viewable in any browser, thus good for linux, for only $50 moreand has 3TB hardrive. We shall see how that one stacks up. This one has an app that only works in windows or mac or smart phone. Won’t really work with a linux PC. Can’t be viewed in a browser. It still gets 4 stars, just didn’t meet my needs.

Plan on replacing in a few years
This camera is a good value for the money, and has good picture quality. All of my cameras are outdoors not protected from the elements; and some of them have 100+ feet of cable on them to reach the DVR. But I am having to replace cameras occasionally due to (1) water intrusion; (2) if no water, the picture just slowly degrades; (3) won’t switch from daytime color mode to infrared; or (4) it just stops working.In the five years since I purchased the 8-camera set with DVR, I have replaced all of the cameras at least once. You may have better luck if your cameras are somewhat protected from weather (under an overhang?) or if you are running shorter cables.Also, the setup instructions may tell you how to set features with the switch on the cable, but not say what the different modes do for you.
