I have 16 WYZE cameras around my home and farm and just added two of the WYZE Duo Cam Pan’s. It sucks that they only come in white, so I had to paint them matte black so they don’t stand out. These are great cameras. The higher resolution over the CAM PAN V31080p pt cams is a huge plus and noticeable. I used 12 of the cameras to monitor livestock. Like all the previous models, the IR illumination on these is simply amazing. Nice, even flood with a decent throw considering how small these cameras are. The little lights on these cameras are amazing too. Not real impressive to the naked eye when you’re standing there but what the camera sees is pretty impressive. I have over 25 years of security camera experience and the best way I can describe these (or any) of the WYZE cameras is they’re bigger than they look. When I show somebody a video stream or a still shot from any of my cameras and then sometime later they visit my farm and they see the cameras they’re always shocked that that tiny little camera produces the view they saw. And they’ll make some comment like “I was expecting to see some foot long enclosed camera, not that cute little cube”. That’s another thing, I have several of the 1080p, PT models mounted on custom fence post mounts I made that have been out in the weather for almost two years now. These cameras have some serious weather proofing. The only negative thing I can say about the Duo Cam is the Pan speed (for some reason) is PAINFULLY slow. And WYZE knows it, why else would the speed be set to max in the configuration by default? The 1080p model is set to the slowest or mid because it pans fast! One of the two I purchased, the waypoints will not stay set, if the pan speed was not so slow that would not be a big deal. But, I’ve painted them and I’m outside of the 30 day amazon return window and I don’t feel like dealing with the warranty with WYZE so I just moved it to an area where I don’t need to pan it much at all. I have the fixed cam looking one way and the pan cam covering the other, like a V. Oh, and the audio is much better on this model over the CAM PAN V3 (1080p).

I have bought 3 Wyze Duo Cam Pan Indoor/Outdoor IP65 2 J 360 Pan/Tilt Smart Home Security Cameras + Night Vision from Amazon and installed Amazon’s Basic Micro SDXC Memory Cards in all three Duo Cam’s units. Working on my PC’S with Wyze Web Iive Apps and subscription to Wyze Web Portal. All Duo Cam cameras are installed and shows 6 locations with sound and microphone and siren on each on the Portal locations and with zoom, when needed, on our PC’S and our apple iPhones. When traveling or out shopping or what ever, we have access to all cameras. All functions for operation of Duo Cam Security can be accessed by your iPhone. So all this possible through the Portal and the price is worth it-believe me. Wife loves the OPS with the phones and comps. Works very well with me, PC and Phone. I installed Duo Cam Security my self with the help of the Wife. Hardest part is installing electrical to each location. I use 14 g copper normal power cord plug end to end from grounded out side electrical box attached to house to each Duo location. All of the cameras are working on WIFI and works 100%, as well.

Your live view will always be a split screen. That might be ok for some, but not for me.
In theory, this is a good deal. You have two cameras using only one power source, and channel. However, depending on your needs that may not work. It does not work for me.What is missing for me, is the ability to look at each camera’s live stream individually. But instead, the live feed is always a split screen of the two feeds stacked vertically. Which means reduced resolution when you try to identify something in the feed. You are still getting two separate feeds when it records video, so if that’s going to work for you, this is probably still a pretty good deal.Also, it’s very buggy. The software seems to struggle with tracking, it seems to keep resetting the spotlight settings, and it seems to lose it’s waypoints once you’ve set them. Wyze is good about steadily updating firmware, and I am sure these kinds of things will improve with time. But for me, I am happier with two of their older cameras than one of these.For some reason, the older cameras still have better software interfaces as well. Something I find sincerely disappointing.

I picked up the Wyze Pan Cam Duo mainly because I wanted full coverage without having to mount two separate cameras. Between running a business and keeping an eye on things at home, I don’t have time for blind spots or constant false alerts.Setup was straightforward. The app walked me through it in a few minutes, firmware updated without drama, and it connected to WiFi on the first try. That alone already puts it ahead of some other “smart” gear I’ve dealt with.The 2K resolution is sharp. Faces are actually recognizable, license plates are readable at reasonable distances, and you can zoom in without everything turning into a pixelated mess. The pan and tilt function is smooth, not jerky, and the tracking actually follows movement properly instead of losing it halfway through. The 360° coverage is the big win here. I can cover an entire yard or large interior space without installing multiple units.I mounted one in a semi-exposed outdoor area and the IP65 rating seems legit so far. We get cold winters and wet weather where I am, and it’s handled rain and temperature swings without issue. No fogging in the lens and no random disconnects.Notifications are fast. When motion triggers, I get alerts quickly and can jump into the live feed without waiting forever for it to load. The two-way audio is surprisingly clear. Not studio quality obviously, but good enough to talk to someone at the door or scare off someone snooping around.Night vision is solid too. Infrared mode is clean, and the color night vision under ambient lighting is actually usable, not just a marketing gimmick.If you’re expecting enterprise-grade commercial surveillance, that’s not what this is. But for a smart home or small property setup where you want flexibility, coverage, and solid image quality at a reasonable price, it punches above its weight.So far, it’s been reliable, responsive, and easy to manage.
