How many Dio Nodes can link together at once?
There is no limit! Place as many speakers as you want wherever you want in your home. After that, just pick and choose which ones you want to play from at any time. It’s that simple.
Can I add more Dio Nodes to my home after my initial order?
Absolutely! Dio is a completely modular system. You can add more Nodes to your home whenever you want to.
Does Dio Node have a battery? Is it portable?
Like other smart and Wi-Fi speakers, Dio Node does not have a battery and requires power. With Dio Node, you don’t have to carry around extra devices in order to listen to your audio – giving you freedom to listen across your entire home instantly.
Will we support Android in the future?

Can I connect Dio Node to my TV?
Dio doesn’t work with TVs, but it does work with Apple TV Generation 4 and later.
Check if your Apple TV is compatible is by going to its settings and checking the software version. If it has tvOS 11.4 or later, then you’re good to go!

These speakers have not worked well from day 1. They constantly have static, disconnect, or cannot be found on our network and have become useless. Too expensive to have all these problems.

It does what it says it does
I never write reviews but decided to write one since this is a great product and people are not understanding its use caseMy use case:I currently have HomePods and HomePod Mini’s across my house. I disabled the networking on them via my router since I didn’t want something with a mic in a private space freely accessing the internet. This worked at first but the reliability degraded quite fast. I assume its due to missing updates since they can’t connect to the web. Funnily enough, you aren’t going to find a speaker in a small form like this or a homepod that has both Airplay 2 and no microphone / smart features. On top of that, every speaker I found that somewhat fit the bill required a proprietary app meaning my speaker could just be a paperweight in the future if they decided to remove said appThe dio node achieved all of this- No app set up, just need an apple device- Airplay 2- Doubles as an Apple TV speaker- No microphone- No accountsNow where the complaints come in, yes when compared to my HomePod Mini the HomePod Mini sounded much better to me. This was mostly do to the bass, that being said if you read the products website it was calibrated to enhance spoken words. Which I can say the voices in music and tv sound much clearer when compared to my HomePod Mini.If you value your privacy its a no brainer, this is your speaker. If you’re trying to expand your whole home audio setup alongside existing speakers, this is also a good fit. Overall I am very happy with my purchaseI also had zero connectivity issues. I think I saw some people saying they have whole home mesh networking. If your mesh network doesn’t have ethernet for each node then it isnt that reliable as the other nodes are just boosting the signal at that point

Good small Airplay speaker
The Dio Node is good for what it is. It’s important to understand just what it is, and not expect it to be what it is not.First of all, it is an Airplay 2 speaker, a small one. You might think that implies some other features, such as Bluetooth, an auxiliary line input, and/or battery operation. These are commonplace features on some Airplay speakers, but not this one. If it’s not connected to Airplay, it’s not connected. And it must be plugged into AC power. Also, the small size means it is not going to produce deep bass, but the sound quality is quite good FOR ITS SIZE.What it does offer is backwards compatibility with the original Airplay standard, often unofficially called Airplay 1. All Airplay 2 speakers are supposed to be compatible with Airplay 1, but not all are. Since I don’t usually use Apple products, I have only used it with equipment that emulates Airplay 1, and it works well in that situation. I cannot comment on how well it works with advanced functions that are only available in Airplay 2.My only criticism is that it only works with 2.4 GHz wifi, not the newer 5 and 6 GHz bands; that is the reason I withheld a fifth star in my rating. My experience has been that it works reasonably well with that crowded wifi band. In that regard, it is neither the best or worst device I have used.Note that, although I said I don’t usually use Apple devices, I do have an old iPad for situations when an Apple device is required. Otherwise, I would not be able to use this speaker. You MUST have access to an iPhone or iPad to set up this speaker initially, and anytime you want to change the setup, such as using a different wifi network.

Great Idea, Still Some Development Needed
I really liked the idea of this, speakers that work over WiFi rather than Bluetooth would allow me to get overall coverage of my condo instead of having to carry a speaker or iPad with me. I understood about the lag time needed to buffer the sound, but this ended up causing most of my problems with them.About half the time, I would select a video to start, and it would start playing with no sound. There was never a time when the sound caught up, there just would not be sound on the video. Also, instead of waiting for the sound to buffer, the video would start playing and I would miss the first 5-10 seconds.There is also the problem of videos the other half of the time repeating the first 3-5 seconds numerous times. At least once it would not ever move on.My computer also did not like to default to these speakers. I usually had to select them every time I came back to it after it went into sleep mode.Finally, I envisioned having sound throughout my condo on all the speakers at once where I could walk away from my desktop Mac and still hear the sound from the video. Unfortunately, you have to individually select each speaker.Instead of the seamless experience I was looking for, I ended up having to do a lot of finicky work every time I wanted audio.I did make sure I had the most recent firmware, and looked at as many how to videos as I could find, but could not solve my problems. Unfortunately it sells like there is still some development work that needs to be done.

Constant connectivity and updating issues. Sound will be playing on all 3 and randomly cut out or I will be connected to all 3 and only one will play sound. Not compatible with phones other than iPhone. Sound quality is OK but more akin to a 20 dollar Bluetooth speaker. Wish I could return but waited to long/gave too many chances.

Very Useful Speakers, Easy Setup
Great speakers! I got 5 for a party I was hosting and was able to place 2 indoors and 3 outdoors and the audio sync worked perfectly. Overall, super straightforward and easy to setup and connect to!
