Best Light Strip
I picked up the 10ft Solo strip to put behind a media console. It offers the premium Philips Hue color quality at a lower price point than their standard “Lightstrip Plus,” but it has one major limitation you need to know before buying.Incredible Brightness: At 1700 lumens, this is significantly brighter than cheap alternatives like Govee or generic Amazon brands. It’s bright enough to be the primary light source in a dark room, not just “mood lighting.”True Colors (RGBWW): This is a “White and Color Ambiance” strip. It has dedicated white LEDs, so you get actual warm soft white (2700K) or daylight cool white (4000K) for reading, rather than that weird blueish-purple white you get from cheaper RGB strips.Bluetooth Ready: You don’t need the Hue Bridge hub to use it. You can control it directly from your phone via Bluetooth right out of the box.Value: It is cheaper than the standard “Lightstrip Plus V4” kit, making it a great entry point into the Hue ecosystem.NOT Extendable: Unlike the standard Philips Hue Lightstrip Plus, the “Solo” model cannot be extended. There are no pins at the end to plug in an extension. If you buy the 10ft version and realize you actually needed 12ft, you are out of luck. You cannot add to it.Cut = Waste: You can cut this strip to size, but unlike the pro version, you cannot easily reuse the cut-off piece or reattach it. Hue is just great
It just looks so great and works so well. I am using it as an above cabinet installation. Provides much needed brightness to my kitchen during the day and great ambiance in the evening. Can’t go wrong with this brand.

Brilliant and versatile
The adhesive on this works well and lets it be adhered around an inside corner (as opposed to the outside where it would bend around a pillar or edge for example). Choosing an elevation near a ceilling gives excellent light coverage with little to no glare, and when it’s white it’s WHITE, not a bright purple which a lot of cheaper RGB brands offer.The Philips app for smart phones and desktop computers lets you have dynamic lighting, with appropriate setup even to mood match the time of day or full-screen gaming session you’re having.I almost didn’t consider this because of its high price as compared to other light strip products, but the app support and overall lighting quality and versatility have proved to be worth it.

Long lasting (so far) and great colors.
The lightstrip has been working great for the last year. The controls via the Hue app are quite nice, and can be linked to a Hue wall switch. The sticky tape on the back doesn’t always stick to some types of surfaces (like a faux-wooden desk), so I use some plastic brackets to keep it guided and in place. It is quite sturdy once in place. I see no flickering when in use.

these are great, so far i have not had any significant issues with the adhesive peeling off. i guess it depends on where you stick them (stuck mine on the back of my ikea desk) its really easy to connect them to the hue app via bluetooth, and once you do so its easy to change the color, brightness, and speed of changing colors.
