Super helpful for airline travelers
Good quality- super helpful before we got to the airport. We could adjust our luggage to stay below the limit at home. Took it with us on our trip and used it in the hotel to return before we go on the flight home. Was helpful to see that we were over the limit and we could make adjustments. With airlines being so strict with luggage weight limits-this is a great tool to have and them take with you. The person we were traveling with mentioned that they should definitely get one after using ours.

This scale is straight-forward and does the job. It works as it should and the display lights up for easy viewing. The numbers are also easy to read and you can switch between unit measures of lbs or kg.Nice that it comes with a brand new battery. I was surprised to see a new packaged battery rather than have one pre-installed in the unit. It also had a long expiration date. There are also instructions included for details on operation.There’s also a little bubble level on the scale. This ensures the scale is held as level as possible so that the weight will be accurate. The weight pulls down on the scale, so if it’s held crooked, it could affect the accuracy of the registered weight…didn’t even know that lolThe straps and clips feel pretty sturdy so hopefully it lasts for many future trips. It is pretty lightweight and has a small footprint so doesn’t take up a lot of valuable packing space in your luggage.

This is a super light-weight scale, that will easily fit inside your bag. Why would you pack a scale IN your bag? Because when you go on vacation, you often buy stuff, and your bag can be heavier on the return trip. It’s important to bring it along, so that you are not caught at the airport throwing things away, or paying overweight baggage fees.

Takes the guesswork out of luggage packing
Having reached an age where we plan to do more traveling and airlines are becoming increasingly restrictive with their luggage policies, I thought it would be worthwhile to have one of these luggage scales. This little device proved to be simple, reliable and a decent value for the price.Operation is pretty straightforward. You pop in the included CR2032 battery (it turns the device on automatically), select your unit of measurement, feed the strap around the handle of your suitcase and connect the two parts of the metal hook, then lift the bag off the ground by the ends of the scale. In a moment the weight stabilizes and the display locks in with the final figure. I was shocked to discover the bag I thought was 40 pounds was in fact just 15 lbs. Maybe I’m just getting weaker as I get older, but at least it gave me the confidence to pack my souvenirs in the checked luggage for the trip home.One thing that bothered me a lot about the scale was the difficulty getting the rear compartment open to insert the battery. You should be able to depress the plastic door to unlatch and slide it free. However, despite my best attempts I couldn’t get the door to budge, and it was only after inserting a narrow screwdriver tip into the gap that I was able to pry it open. Perhaps my unit was just being stubborn, but be aware. Overall I’d recommend this for your travel peace of mind.

Way better than lifting bags and stepping on bathroom scales
With airlines stepping up their weight restrictions and SW dropping a bombshell recently, it was important to pre-weigh my luggage at home. As practical as lifting the bag and getting on a scale to subtract your body weight to get the bag’s weight is, I’m getting too old to be repeating that multiple times as I pack and repack to maximize the space. When I saw this luggage scale come up, I jumped on it. Although the weight limit is relatively low at 110lb, it should be fine for most bags.After my testing, I can confirm that the scale is accurate to +/- 0.02lb as indicated in the instructions so I’m pleased about that. I’ve included pictures of one of my tests w/ a silver paperweight and my regular bathroom scale. Although my bathroom scale doesn’t go to 2 digits after the decimal, factoring in 0.1lb is doable for everyone. The ability to change units from lb/kg/oz/etc. and tare was also very useful, especially for international flights.Quality-wise, the material is a hard plastic but it doesn’t creak when I put a 50lb back on the hook for a reading so the quality seems good. The hook is also metal with a thick, wide strap, so they’re not cutting corners there either. It held up well as I was testing with heavier and heavier bags, up to 100lb. Overall, I think this is excellent value for its function and well worth it to not not lift heavy bags and try to steady yourself on a bathroom scale.

Luggage to scale
I’m going on an international trip soon and I want to make sure my checked luggage doesn’t exceed the limit. This scale is small and easy to pack along. It requires a CR2032 battery, which it does comes with. The hanging strap is looped around the luggage handle then hooks back up near the top. I used a five pound kettlebell to test the accuracy. I will say that when I picked it up too quickly, it kept giving me under five pound read-outs but when I gradually brought it up, it consistently read 5.09lbs. The read out can be in ounces, pounds or kilograms. There is a level bubble on top to help with accuracy. I will probably err on the side of caution and pack no more than 45 pounds in my suitcase (according to this scale) just to be on the safe side.
