Stream live video hands-free and see and speak with visitors at your door on compatible Google Nest and Amazon smart displays. You can also use compatible Google Nest and Amazon smart speakers and displays as a chime.
The Nest Doorbell requires the Google Home app and a free Google account; it’s not compatible with the Nest app or the Nest site
The Nest Doorbell camera has a tall vertical field of view, so it’s easier to see people head to toe or packages left on the ground; you can also keep a close eye on high-traffic areas with Activity Zones

Clear Video and Easy Installation
I’ve been using the Google Nest Doorbell for a while now, and it’s been a big upgrade for my home security. The video quality is sharp both day and night, and the wide field of view helps catch packages or visitors without missing much.Installation was super straightforward battery power means no wiring hassles, and the Nest app made setup quick. Motion alerts and familiar face notifications are useful, and I love that I can check live video right from my phone.Battery life has been good so far, and when it does need a recharge, the app gives plenty of advance notice. The battery lasts about 2-3 months-ish even in the very cold northern Indiana winter,Overall this smart doorbell delivers excellent performance with intuitive features definitely worth it if you want reliable home monitoring.I have the whole google ecosystem and its nice to be able to access all of them from one app.

Sleek, Smart, and Reliable – Perfect for Modern Homes!
I am beyond satisfied with the Google Nest Doorbell (Battery). I chose the Ash color, and it looks incredibly stylish and modern next to my front door. It’s not just about looks, though—the performance is top-notch.The installation was a breeze since it’s battery-powered, and the video quality is crystal clear with a perfect vertical field of view, allowing me to see packages on the ground and people from head to toe. The smart alerts are very accurate; it distinguishes between people, animals, and vehicles, which prevents unnecessary notifications. As a busy parent, being able to check who’s at the door directly from my phone—or even seeing my son arrive home from baseball practice—is a huge peace of mind.If you’re looking for a doorbell that combines high-end technology with a beautiful aesthetic, this Nest Doorbell is the way to go. Highly recommended!

Easy to use
Someone was banging on my door like a madman one night, immediately bought this overnight since we have a lot of other google products. Came the next day, set up was super quick and easy. That same night the person came back and banged like a madman and was able to talk to them through the speaker and record the interaction. I like that it send an alert to my phone when I have a package and when the package is no longer seen. The battery last weeks and only takes a couple of hours to charge.

**UPDATE** Worst pile of junk I’ve purchased.. Google has gone the wrong direction with this one…
******UPDATE TO ONE STAR; ZERO IF I COULD*****Okay… so I’m not relying on this terrible quality of a camera to catch a thief, but it only recorded 10 seconds of the event. Yup, we were robbed and the car windows smashed. The car was literally parked right in front of the camera, so there should be no excuses on missing something. It doesn’t capture cars anymore unless they are literally in my drive (it used to) and the quality is about that of a pile a dog excrements. Oh, it captured the whole conversation about the break-in to my neighbor. It capture me taking photos of the crime scene. It capture my wife in disbelief. BUT DO YOU THINK FOR ONE SECOND IT CAPTURED THE EVENT IT SHOULD HAVE CAPTURED??? …. nope. This thing is in the trash now. Going to a completely different system.I am out of the return window, so shame on me. Amazon is doing wonders about faulty devices and direct you toward the manufacturer to sort out (even though you can’t get your money back for the device because it was purchased through Amazon). This device works well if you’re viewing the footage live. The recordings are also great, but ONLY when they work. You get half recordings, or so it seems, with this device. It doesn’t pick up a person half the time until they are right up on the door, or you get a video of their back. An “event” only lasts 4 seconds (yes, I’ve maxed the settings to 30 seconds) and that’s never enough time to figure out if something went wrong or someone was trying to break in, or whatever it may be. For example, I had a car just use my driveway as a turn around point, but they got out of the car, checked their tire, got back in the car and then reversed out and drove away.. maybe 20 seconds worth of time. But the camera ONLY recoded them pulling into the driveway… a 4 second video. Google came out in some articles you can find on the interwebs about how it’s a “thermal” problem and this device does not record 24/7. Funny how you can literally go backwards in the functionality and engineering, but charge MORE for the device. Crazy. Oh, AND you have to pay a subscription fee for something that doesn’t even work well. There are many forums and articles about this issue, but it seems google wants to do nothing to fix it. I’ve changed zone settings, sensitivity settings, factory resets, ensured the device was connected to a WiFi connection that is good (which is literally 10 feet away from the device), etc. So, I think I’m going to chalk this up as a loss and buy the old version (which supports 24/7 recording and is WAY better with the ‘foresight’ feature as I have family who use it.

Set it up properly and you will get a long battery life. We bought 1 to try and with some changes to settings, estimate 7-8 weeks of battery life before a charge. Probably charge at 6 weeks so we have full functionality. Quality is excellent, detects people with packages, unfamiliar faces if you subscribe to Nest aware. I turned off vehicle detection and lowered the sensitivity so it is not telling me every time someone walks down the road. Be mindful installing it near your outdoor lights as it may make night visibility had with glare. We will get another 1 or 2.

The features are amazing! Can be used right out of the box with no fuss. Or, if you prefer, set zones you’d like to watch, choose which activities (people, packages, animals, movement) you’d like monitored and record the video for viewing now or later. You can even talk to people at your door, whether you’re home or not.

Good and night camera vision and wide angle. No need for subscription pymts unless I want extra features. Battery mode works great so no need to have it wired in. Get notifications no matter where I am. Keeps an eye on my car
