Innovative, incredible quality, and useful piece of technology for today’s business person
The Plaud Note Pro has gone beyond my expectations. The device has a fantastic battery life and has allowed me to record over 33 hours of audio. Also, I am able to use it for large conference areas with over 40 individuals, and it still has excellent quality. The web application, phone app, and desktop application are all very intuitive and handy. In fact, the desktop application will allow you to record online meetings from Teams, Zoom, and others with live transcription. You can also insert notes and clips during the session. Overall, I am blown away by this device’s capabilities. I even bought a MagSafe phone case so that I could attach the device without worrying about it getting lost. This is probably the most beneficial piece of business technology I have used in years. Oh, and the AI transcription quality is great. You can have it generate summaries automatically or customize the end result by building your own template or selecting from many of the available. I have begun to use the Adaptive Summary and University Lessons templates extensively. I really do not think you can go wrong with this recorder. Yes, it is more expensive than other choices. But, I have to say, you definitely get what you pay for with the Plaud.

Great product that overcame by skepticism…
I’ve used a bunch of AI products with varying results, so I was skeptical about another AI product. I bought this at the end of 2025 when there was the usual lull in work and meetings, so I didn’t really get a chance to use it until everyone recovered from the holiday hangover.First, it’s solidly built – both the device and the magnetic holder. It’s not real leather but I don’t really care. It’s a tight fit so I don’t think you’ll need to pull it out often. Fortunately, there’s an opening on the backside for the charging contacts. If you’re buying an aftermarket case, check for the opening for the charging contacts.Second, you get 300 minutes of recording and summarizing each month with the FREE Starter Plan. Unused time doesn’t roll over to the next month; you just start over with 300 minutes each month. You can upgrade to more minutes and features. The 300 minutes is nice so you can test it out and see if both the device and the plan meets your needs.Third, it’s pretty easy to use. Click the button for battery life. Long press to start and stop. Click during recording to let the AI know that this is an important point in the meeting. When you’re done, the recording is then transferred to your phone via BT. You have the option of getting a transcription, summaries, meeting notes, action items, and others.Fourth, they recently launched a companion desktop version where you can see the same recording. The desktop version works off the same plan. It allows you to record meetings on your computer whether it’s Teams, WebEx, Zoom, etc. It doesn’t plug into those apps but runs separately so the other attendees won’t know you’re using Plaud so use it appropriately.Lastly and most importantly, it seems to record the meetings well and does a great job summarizing the meeting with the free templates. A huge selling point is that it handles the note taking so I can pay attention or run the meeting and afterward, provides me with great notes and summaries. It will match the speaker and name, if known, to the notes. And if I need to confirm anything, I have the recording and AI-created transcripts.Is it worth it? For $185 and the basic plan, I’d say yes because I can pay attention to the meeting and saves me the time and hassle of taking notes and then summarizing them.

Boy is this a game changer. Do your own research but go for Plaud. I looked for several weeks at phone based AI, other models, cheaper models, researched all of the subscriptions etc. etc…many hours spent…then I went for Plaud as I thought if you buy cheap, you buy twice.Having tried software versions on my phone I was convinced this type of approach would change, elevate, enhance my working pattern and boy I was right. Plaud is streets above any software version for the following reasons1. Doesn’t drain your battery2. Is dedicated hardware which mags to the back of your iPhone, or can be used separately3. Has a very good quality about it, as does the case which is VERY secure4. Has an incredible battery life on standby and during use5. Has Apple Find ability and works well using it with a loud beep (it’s small so easy to use)6. Is very lightweight7. Creates its own wifi hotspot if you want to transfer data quickly (otherwise it’s bluetooth).8. Has an enormous amount of templates you can set easily ahead of time for different uses (building, legal, medical, lectures, conferences, meetings etc. etc.The list goes on.The AI part is very good, it captures information and the AI structures it in a way that is more ordered than the conversation you had…it’s quite remarkable really. for meetings you get notes, insights, actions, recommended actions and next steps, speaker identification (speaker 1, speaker 2 – that sort of thing). You can output in several formats including .doc and .pdf. You can also have mindmaps that are pretty good and I’m sure will get better. The template community is very active, you can create and submit your own too….I see great things.I’ve used this in 4 separate meetings and was very impressed with the content and context it made. It sometimes struggles with technical jargon but does a good job and apparently can learn words with your input. Not tried this yet but I’m assured it will.It’s a lot of money for anyone to lay out, and to get the full use you will need to subscribe but when you look at the return on your investment it is absolutely worth the money. So, the device outlay and then another ninety nine for 20 hours a month for a year may seem like a lot, but first year costs are effectively a fiver a week, then 2 quid a week for each subsequent year. For what it does it’s absolutely worth buying. You may wince at the cost, but you will be delighted with the results if you need something like this.This is absolutely what AI should be doing for us, augmenting our lives.Buy one, you won’t be disappointed.

Awesome product and easy to use, but it does require some subscription for advanced features I’ll revisit later and share my thought in them. Now I am using basic free features and I am quite happy
