It’s actually a pretty cool DIY project that didn’t take me very long to figure out, and the best part is there’s no monthly subscription fee, which is a huge win when you don’t have a full-time job.The setup was mostly just peeling and sticking the door sensors and placing the motion detector in a corner where it could see the whole room. I connected it to the Tuya app on my phone, and now I get an instant alert every time someone even cracks my door open. The first time I tested it, I forgot I had it armed and walked in and the 120dB siren is absolutely terrifying. It’s loud enough that my cat hid under the couch for an hour, but it definitely does its job of scaring people off.I also synced it with Alexa, so I can just tell her to “arm the system” before I head out to school or go to bed. It feels a bit like being a spy in a movie. There’s even an SOS emergency button that I keep by my bed, just in case something actually weird happens at night. It’s a solid little security system for an apartment or even just a single room if you want some actual privacy and peace of mind. Connected well in a medium sized house as well.

I recently picked up this to add a little extra security to my place, and honestly, it is just okay. Despite the product description making it sound like a highly advanced, comprehensive smart home setup, at its core, it really just feels like a simple door sensor paired with an app for basic alarming. There is really nothing special about it that makes it stand out from the crowd.One of the design choices that stood out to me right away was the power source. The sensors run on two AAA batteries, which just seems like an odd choice for modern security devices. Most competing sensors these days use slim lithium coin cells or built-in rechargeable batteries to keep the hardware as compact and low-maintenance as possible.However, the biggest drawback I’ve experienced is with the companion app. The main selling point of a WiFi-enabled alarm system is getting instant, reliable alerts directly to your phone if an emergency happens. Unfortunately, the app can be quite buggy when it comes to actually delivering those notifications. If you are relying on this system to give you peace of mind while you are away on holiday, inconsistent or delayed alerts are a pretty frustrating flaw.Overall, if you just want a cheap, subscription-free way to put a basic siren on a door, it technically works. But between the basic hardware and the buggy app notifications, it definitely leaves a lot to be desired.

Quick and reliable door sensor that blends in well
This wireless window or door sensor works great and has been a solid addition to my setup. I only got the single sensor version, which was about $14.99 at the time, and it’s been working exactly as expected. It paired with the Smart Life app quickly and without any trouble.Once it was connected, notifications started coming through to my phone right away. The sensor reacts quickly to activity, and the alerts only seem to have about a second of delay after the door opens. That responsiveness makes it useful for keeping track of movement around the house.It also blends in really well with my door and trim, so it’s barely noticeable after I installed it. Overall, it’s been a simple but effective sensor that does what it’s supposed to do and feels like a good value for the price.

Works pretty well
It’s hard finding alarms with no subscription. This one does a pretty good job. I got it for an exterior door leading to the pool. It was easy to install. I’m not looking forward to having to change the batteries whenever they die, but hopefully it doesn’t go through them too quickly. I love not having to pay a subscription. The app works fine. It’s not perfect, but I usually get timely notifications. Sometimes the notifications take a bit, but that could be my wifi. It’s fine for the price, but I would wait and buy it in a bundle or on sale.

I’m reviewing just the door sensor itself, not the full alarm system mentioned in the original listing.This connects to the SmartLife app and setup was straightforward. I haven’t had any connectivity issues so far. Once installed, it sends a notification within about 5 seconds of the door opening, and it also alerts you when the door closes, which I really appreciate.One thing I like is that the door and frame don’t have to be perfectly flush. There’s a little wiggle room between the sensor and magnet and it still works reliably, which made installation easier.This has been especially helpful with a toddler in the house who has recently figured out how to open doors. The real-time alerts give me peace of mind without needing a full security system. Simple, effective, and does exactly what I needed.

Easy Setup with Ample Accessories – Good Value
I guess the first thing I noticed is how much you get for your money. (10) door and window sensors, (5) motion sensors, (3) key fobs, a panic button and a wall control panel, all fully wireless. A true value compared to others.Assembly and installation wasn’t hard. Download the app, ensure the devices are turned on and in pairing mode. I ended up only needing 3 motion sensors in the house. They have a larger coverage area. I used the extra one in garage along with two sensors. The app allows you to control the system. I created different zones so you can arm the system with a window open. The wall panel alert you as to what’s open and closed. Testing the system wasn’t hard. You arm it and then open a door and wait. The siren is pretty loud. Will your neighbor hear it? Maybe. The idea is to alert the intruder which the wall will do.In all, this is an excellent kit for the DIY minded. I found it easy to setup and use. Just remember you do need an outlet for the control panel so plan accordingly. Hope these insights prove useful as you’re trying to decide. THanks.
