My honest review after 4 years of owning this alarm.
Honest review: I have the previous version with the rechargeable battery bought in May 2021. That being said, I think all of the features and quality will be the same. This alarm system absolutely works as described. My house is in the woods, so I wanted to know when someone approaches. My driveway is 800 ft long, however the sensor is located on the front of my detached garage nearer to my home about 150ft – 200ft from the alarm. In the almost 4 years of owning it, I have charged the sensor maybe 4 times. I estimate that the alarm is triggered around 10 – 12 times a day. I keep the alarm in my home plugged in so I cannot speak on battery life with that. The alarm in the house has options that I have never explored as I only use it as it came programmed i.e. various tones and zones, I think for multiple sensors.Pros:1. The sensor has withstood our New Hampshire weather, freezing cold, snow, and freezing rain without breaking.2. Battery life is very good with charge lasting well over 6 months (cannot speak to replaceable batteries).3. The adjustable alarm is loud enough to hear throughout the house.4. Never an issue with quality.Cons:I do not have any cons to list but here are some things I’ve dealt with primarily due to my placement of the sensor.1. Wildlife will trigger it as should be expected, birds, rabbits, squirrels, and once a pair of coyotes passing through in the middle of the night.2. Falling leaves in the fall triggers it.Tips:1. Don’t place the sensor where you do a lot of activity like I did. I don’t typically work out of my garage but on the occasion that I do, the alarm will continue to chime every time I enter or exit the door (drives my wife and dogs nuts). She simple unplugs the alarm until I am done.2. The alarm will chime if you place the sensor where delivery trucks i.e. UPS and Fedex need to turn around. My driveway requires them to do multiple point turns and it happens to be right in front of the sensor.I will probably be moving the sensor down the driveway a bit to avoid these unnecessary chimes. All in all, this alarm does everything it says it will do. It alerts you when triggered and quality has never been an issue. When the time comes and I need to replace it, I will not hesitate to stick with this system.

Range Is Amazing! So Far So Good! Super Sensitive Sensor!
I chose this unit with two transmitters to monitor my road to my house. I set one transmitter about 400 feet away monitoring my driveway and the 2nd unit near my house so I get two different chimes telling me where the vehicle or person is.Unit comes in pieces so be prepared to put it together. You don’t need the instructions. It’s pretty simple to do. Don’t forget to plug in the power supply cable which comes disconnected so the battery won’t be completely discharged when you receive it.So plug in the power cable and before putting the cover on select the channel you want the transmitter to use. There is a small selector switch in it for channels 1 through 4. Each channel has it’s own sound and has a light on the receiver showing which unit is alarming. Now something very important about the channel selection is this: Channels 1 and 2 will have the transmitter sensor turn red when it senses motion. Channels 3 and 4 keep the transmitter light OFF when it senses motion. So make sure if you don’t want someone seeing the unit’s red sensor light to select channel 3 or 4. I found that feature one of the best. I selected channels 3 and 4 so no one can see it when it senses motion. There is also a switch to adjust the sensitivity or “range” of the sensor. I left both units at maximum range. Now what I discovered is quite interesting. The unit that is 400 feet away looks across my driveway towards another road that runs parallel with mine. The other road is about 150 feet away and is up a slight hill. When a vehicle passes by on that road the sensor picks up the motion and alerts. I really was a bit shocked about that so next time I charge it I will have to lower the range of that sensor.Oh, and don’t forget to charge the battery before you put it all together. There is a micro usb cable and power supply that powers the base receiver that is also used to charge the internal Li-OH battery. Make sure the battery plug inside the unit is plugged into the unit’s board before trying to charge the battery. There is a small rubber plug/flap on the bottom of the unit where you plug in the battery charging micro usb cable. When the internal battery is charging the sensor light is blue. When charge is complete the sensor light is off.Once done charging make sure you test the sensor with the base receiver and finally put it all together. There is a very small gasket on the unit so make sure it is in place before you screw down the cover or it will be offset and not seal. Don’t over tighten the screws because it will cause that section of the cover to pop up (yes, I did this! Had to use hot glue to ensure it was sealed).Mount it where you want it and that’s pretty much it. The base unit is powered by either AA Batteries (4) or the included power supply. You can put batteries in it and plug it in to AC power so if AC power is off you still have the unit functioning. The volume on the base receiver can go quite high so adjust it to your liking. All in all I am very happy with this system. I will update this after the Winter to write how it functioned in the sub zero cold here.Update 11/15/2025: Both sensors and base unit still working properly. I charge the sensor units once a year. Very impressed with this system! Almost 5 years out in the woods now. Sensors hold up well to extreme cold. We get -20F here in the winters and the sensor works perfectly! Highly recommend this system!

works good
receiver to sensor range excellent- unfortunately the sensors range to a object is only 35-40 ft. much less than the previous Guardian system I had for years that easily detected at twice the distance. that was less $. The base unit is well designed and good also but the power cord is too short- another two feet would have been better. customer service was excellent at solving issues.

Great sound
Works great. There are so many sounds you can choose from to alert you. Set up was quick and simple on a tree at the end of the driveway. Definitely would purchase again. Great value and shipped fast.

This sensor is phenomenal. I bought this for my driveway on my acreage and with the sensitivity on the highest setting, it was picking up passing tractor trailers on the highway app. 150′ away on the highway. This is by far the best driveway sensor I have owned to date and incidentally was the best priced for the value. It will pick up vehicles, people, dogs and a fox which I had coming into the yard at night. So far it is only the start of winter but despite a snowstorm and -20 C weather it hasn’t missed a beat. I also like the fact that you can power the receiver off of batteries which is handy if I am out in the garden on my property as I cannot see the driveway when I am out there. This is definitely a must have if you live on a rural property and far exceeded my expectations.

I installed this in 2020 and it still works perfectly everyday all the time. I have to recharge it about once every 6 months to a year. The only thing I found that was an issue is the sensor has two y to beam and would tend to pick up cars that people walking close to my entrance. I put a small piece of tape on either side of the sensor to narrow the beam and it works perfectly. It only goes off when people actually cross the being coming into my property. Very very few false positives, very happy with the product
