Love this keypad. Really love the key fob. Only gave 4 stars because the app is a headache. It’s hard to connect others on the app from their phone. But overall value for the money is great. The quality giving high tech with the key fob and fingerprint.

This lock may be smart but none of its functions worked for me. I spent quite a bit of time dealing with their customer service people who made multiple suggestions. There are some discrepancies in methods suggested for initial programming between their website, their tech support people, and the paperwork that accompanied the lock.Ultimately they said they were unable to get it to work and refunded the purchase price. Probably a good company and I don’t know if I just got a defective product or if it is just not that great.

Installation was straightforward with clear instructions, and the lock feels sturdy and well built once in place. The fingerprint reader is quick to respond and recognizes registered prints accurately, making entry fast and hassle free without needing keys. It also includes multiple access options, which adds flexibility for family members or guests. It included 4 IC cards and 2 keys. The finish looks clean and sleek on the door and resists smudges better than expected. Battery life has been solid so far, and the low power alert provides peace of mind. Daily use has been smooth and reliable, and the lock adds both convenience and a sense of security.

These smart locks have improved so much over the past couple of years in terms of build quality, ease of installation and overall usability. This Ironzon lock is a good example of this – both sides of the locking unit appear to be solidly built and should provide years of service. Even for novice DIY’ers, it should take only about 15 minutes to get this thing put in place and ready for use, the instruction booklet describes the process well and is easily understandable.That you’ve got four (4!) physical modes of use for locking and unlocking the unit means that you should never be in the situation of not getting into your home. You’ve got the traditional keys (the set comes with two, though if more are needed, they can easily be duplicated using Schlage blanks at any locksmith). The keypad allows you to set a variety of individual access codes for entry by punching in a code. The fingerprint reader takes only a few seconds to set up and is quite accurate on how it processes identity, and then you’ve got the near-field IC cards which work with a quick swipe between the “5” and “8” buttons on the touch panel. If you want to set up single-use and time-limited entry codes, those can be set up via the app, something I have yet to explore so I can’t comment on their usability.An additional feature that could be extremely helpful is the emergency USB power port on the bottom of the entry panel; it’ll allow you to get in if the internal AA’s are completely discharged, though you would need a power bank and a cable in order for it to function.Only minor complaint I have is the lack of French language commands. The fact that your choices are English, Spanish and Chinese kinda makes me think that this smart lock is intended mainly for the USA market and it’s only an afterthought that it’s being sold in Canada.At this point, very happy with how it is working, the touch pad and fingerprint reader have been operating flawlessly so far.

This is my second smart lock from IRONZON and it is just as good as the first one. It only took me about 15 minutes to get it installed and the whole process was very straightforward.I really like how many options this smart deadbolt lock has for unlocking the door. It comes with 2 actual keys, 4 of these cool little key cards, a keypad code, or using your fingerprint.The fingerprint reader works really well too and it is probably my favourite way to get inside quickly. You can add multiple fingerprints and even do the same fingerprint multiple times, decreasing any chance of it not recognizing you the first time.It also has an emergency power feature as well which is a nice touch. On the bottom of the keypad is a USB-C port. If the batteries ever die and you don’t have the key with you, you can plug in an external device (like a power bank) and provide a bit of power to the unit, enough to use the keypad/fingerprint reader to unlock the door.All smart locks should have this! It’s so…smart!Also I want to mention that even though you can pair this device with the TUYA app to configure it and control it remotely, you don’t actually have to!You can set everything up manually right on the lock itself. It has built in voice prompts that guide you through how to change your admin password, add users (this means adding fingerprints, new keypad codes, new keycards, etc) or adjust the device’s volume setting and also enabling the auto lock feature.Since I already have another IRONZON smart lock on my front door, I installed this one on my basement garage door.It looks great and it’s a nice upgrade from the boring regular deadbolt lock that it replaced.Highly recommend!

I got this to replace the old school key deadbolt on an attached garage door. I’m impressed by how well the fingerprint works, comparable in speed and accuracy to the reader on smartphones and laptops– really nice.The app is good and allows you to configure the lock and view events, though I do wish this used an open standard for communication like Zigbee so it can be added directly to something like Home Assistant. That said, once you set it up you never need to use the companion app again if you don’t want to, and being a BT device it doesn’t talk to the internet, so this is a minor complaint.The mechanical backup keys are nice to have on hand just in case, but I’ve had zero issues with the lock using fingerprint alone for the past 4 weeks.Thumbs up
