Good quality security camera for decent price with easy set up
I already have a Google doorbell and subscription to Google Home through ADT. I wanted to add a flood light and camera to my backyard bathroom door which isn’t covered well by the existing cameras. I should have bought this when it was on sale for prime day, but missed it.My handyman was here for other projects, so I had him do this one as well. He took down the existing light and connected this. He did not complain of any problems and it did not seem to take very long. I then easily connected to the camera by my Google Home app, which took about 5 min to set up and update. (There’s a QR code that comes in the box that you scan to speed up the process.)When I went into my Google home app, it showed a battery icon and showed only 64% battery! After googling, I realized that the switch for the flood light camera always has to be switched on 🤦♀️ I am so used to turning that switch off from when it was a back door light. I will have to put a sticker or post it note so guests do not turn it off.The app allows you to choose the length of time the flood light stays on for after it detects a motion event. It also turns on if you’re looking live through the camera on the app.You can zoom in on the app live (see a photo of a cobblestone I zoomed in on). The quality is pretty good and the colors are bright. In the app, it shows up as both a camera and as a light. When you click on the light option, you can choose an intensity to keep it on as just a light. If you have this on, it will always be on until you turn it off.My goals for having this were to 1) cover a previously uncovered area with surveillance cameras without breaking the bank, and 2) deter coyotes and other large wildlife from coming in the yard since I have stray cats.So far so good 👍

They worked for me without any issues
Before I was using Lorex wireless system, they do not have monthly charges like others do. short story about my experience about the Lorex wireless system, 1 doorbell and 3 wireless camera, I have them all hardwired in, so not on battery mode. In my opinion they worked ok, it only recorded only when actionis in the middle of field of view, and cut off shortly after even when action still going on. so I was not able to accurately see what was going on, then one day, all my camera got kicked out my network, I can not get it back up running. So I gave up on them, leaving the doorbell, which the only thing that did not got kicked out.the Google floodlight camera, i installed 3 floodlight with camera, and 1 camera only.installation of floodlight will required some house electrical knowledge, installation process are straight forward, all hardware are included. set up is a breeze also, scan qr code, find product, connect to wifi, basically done. The construction of light and camera is solid, feels heavy, magnet is very strong, I don’t think it will moved by wind, rain and snow. Flood light is bright, pictures are clear, night vision on camera only is ok, the ones with floodlight, night recoding would be in color, because the lights are on. it will start recording before and shortly after action enters and leaves the field of view of camera. Example: I got a notification of vehicle is on my camera, in the video actually records even before vehicle approaching to camera’s field of view. I like this feature very much. Also audio recording are clear. All recording are cloud base, there is free or paid. Free one only offer 3 hrs of recording then will be erase whatever is before the 3hr time stemp, or you can pay for 30days od recording. The app is straight forward, easy to navigate. Sometimes I experience “video is not available …” I would just need to wait a little for it to show up.There was a time I need to remove the camera from the wifi network because it’s not getting a good connection, I was not able to reconnect, so if that is the case, you will need to reset the camera, there is a button behind it, push in for 15 seconds so it resets, repeat the connection process and I was good. I don’t think I see that instructions in the booklet, maybe it’s just me over looking things. With the new google app, all my nest thermostat and camera are on the same app that is a plus. The over all experiences on the product itselfe are good, no complaints.I only have to say thr price is set a little high, that is about it.I would recommend if it fits the budget.

Nice Floodlight!!!
Great camera and light. This is so much brighter than my old flood light. I have this turned down to 20% which provides plenty of light even 15 ft away. Setup for me was a little bit tricky. My old flood light had a cone housing that held all of the wires. My pancake box was installed a quarter inch past the wall. The mounting system for this requires for the mount to be flush with the wall. I purchased a 4-in wide plumbing PVC pipe. I cut a small quarter inch slice which was a perfect fit around the pancake box.I love all of the customization for the light and camera in Google home. There is no way to replace the light bulbs. You have to purchase the entire lighting assembly which comes without the camera but still costs half the amount of the entire flood light. For me, I’m only having these lights turn on when they detect a person close by so the lights will most likely likely last forever.

Modern Light/Camera that actually works!
Highly recommend this camera and floodlight. I use the Google cameras in my house and I needed something for outside of my house. It was so easy to install, maybe took about 20 minutes . When you use the app, it gives you step-by-step instructions and tells you exactly how to install it, What you need to install it and how to connect it to your Wi-Fi. The light is really great and will go on when anything comes in that area. For example, I have this for my driveway & as soon as my car comes in view, the light will automatically go on or if somebody walks past my driveway the light will go on which I personally love. Of course you can change the sensitivity or objects it picks up in the app so I have mindset to how I like it. The light is also super bright, which I love. I live in an area where there’s typically no street lights so having a nice bright light makes such a big difference. I’ve had this for a couple of months now and honestly have had no issues. The Wi-Fi works great, the video and sound quality is perfect when I listen to it in the app, and I think it is such a nice sleek option and addition to the outside of my home.

This has been a valuable addition to my driveway. Deters people from entering the back garden and lights the parking space when I pull in at night. It gives me peace of mind to be able to check in on my car or verify who’s been in the backyard. The lights are very bright.

Fairly easy to install. The pictures are really clear with good colour. Floodlight is great for our dark walkway.Wired so not batteries to worry about. Very happy with this purchase.

Illuminates the backyard with fewer false triggers than traditional spotlights with passive IR sensors.

Works amazingly, if you have good wifi and a strong connection. The only reason it doesn’t get a 5 star and only a 4 is because Google removed the feature that allowed you to view your camera on your TV. I can always cast it from my phone but then I can’t use my phone, kinda silly but still all around good product.
