2 years in & still best standup desk
Still love it after 2 years of use. Still works every day. Still gets compliments from colleagues.I’ve bolted a laptop tray to it since. Found that magnets stick to the tower which is great for getting paperwork or notes up in front of me. Thinking about adding another mount for a touch screen/tablet for doing live markups on video calls.. there’s room for it!OG review:Amazing desk riser.I’ve had a big corner unit varidesk. This is better.I specifically wanted a single platform because the trays are never the right size and the second level just collects papers or other junk. It’s wide enough for a mouse and a full size keyboard (number pad incl).I’m 6’3″ and it will run higher than I need by 4-6″.The mech is nice and quiet – compared to my boss’ unit that cost $75 more.As a whole is built like a tank – plate steel feet are confidence inspiring and very stable.Monitor mounts are a touch finicky but they work fine. The desk doesn’t sit flush when it’s down – a marginal issue. The tray is nice enough – it should have holes to route cables from beneath though. It doesn’t come with any cable management – you can get on Amazon to tidy up cables. You’ll want some sort of extension for the monitor power cords too. I mounted a power strip on the back of the tower using double sided tape.

Affordable & Quality Product!
This is perfect for my WFH space. The directions were very clear and it was fairly easy assembly, I did it by myself in about an hour. When hanging the monitors the bolts toSecure your monitors tilt are very very strong. I had to put my entire body weight into the Allen wrench to twist it to get my monitors at the right angle, I initially thought maybe my monitors were too heavy. But once I fixed that, it’s perfect. I am overall extremely happy with the stability, affordability, and ease of use. This is a great investment into my health working from a desk. I highly recommend this to anyone and you won’t be disappointed. Shipping was also very fast and it was packaged very well! Great value & quality

Solid sit stand
I had a stand desk at my previous job. Then got a new job with a sit stand and love it. Now I work from home and needed to find a sit stand, but I didn’t want a new desk. I found this and love it. It was very easy to assemble. It came with the tools I needed, except a screw driver. It is hevier than I had expected, but that is necessary for the sturdiness. Obviously you can’t lean on in when it’s raised, it’s not that sturdy, but if you write a note it doesn’t move when raised. I am pleasantly surprised at the size of the desk. I keep my laptop on the desk for a third monitor and there is plenty of room for my trackball and notebook. I do have to flip the laptop down to to raise the desk, but it is not up and down frequently. It goes high enough for me and I am 6′ 2″. I have a large piece of glass on the desk top and I was worried that this may crack it. It has not. It comes down very gently and is well balanced. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a sit stand.

Sturdy but Heavy and Bulky
Works well, holds both monitors and can move easily from sitting to standing. Drawbacks: clunky, very heavy and takes up too much space. The monitors are too close to me and would like to move further back but can’t due to size. Also putting it together was quite difficult and took longer than I thought it should. It looks good.

Best Motorized Standing Desktop Converter I’ve Ever Used
Just to be clear, this is a review of the Mount-It! Electric Standing Desk Converter, located here: Mount-It! Electric Standing Desk Converter, Motorized Tabletop Sit Stand Desk With Dual Monitor Mount, Freestanding 28″ Wide Platform. This is not the manual one. This is the best standing desktop converter I’ve ever used. I’ve used a couple manual converters at work, and this one is better than all of them. Here are some of my observations:Pros:1. Sturdy – I’ve set mine up with two 29″ monitors, and it handles them without any problem.2. Silent – The motor that raises and lowers everything gives off just a faint humming sound. It’s almost inaudible.3. Very well made – While I can’t offer an opinion on the motor yet, everything seems to be made for long-term use.4. Heavy – The weight makes it extremely stable.Cons:1. This thing is REALLY heavy – This is both a pro and a con, by the way. The weight also makes it difficult to set up.2. Tightening the screws to keep the monitors from moving around is difficult.

Pretty darn good product except…
I really do love this product. However, there are some design changes that I would make to it.PROS:- Very sturdy. Almost zero wobble.- Super sleek design for the most part. It looks great!- Simple to assemble with good directions.- Surface is large enough to house other items like speakers and other small hardware items if desired.- It holds an iPad or cell phone in a nice convenient location.- Its operation is very smooth and quiet.- Good value for the $$$.-Fairly decent cord management.CONS:- The control interface is terrible. The buttons are hard to see and they are low profile so you must visually see where you finger is touching as you feel the ultra low profile button. Also, no presets.- I do wish that the keyboard tabletop sat flush on the desktop. It actually has a 1 inch gap under it making the surface about 2 inches higher than table or desk it sits on. This would have been very easy to achieve simply by recessing the foot into the movable surface underneath.- The power cable is exterior to the tower and therefore it tends to get in the way and is ugly.Overall – I am glad I purchased it. It was great value for the quality.
