Every kitchen should have a food thermometer and digital gram scale.
The scale seems high quality and is simple to use. It shuts off on it’s own if you don’t leave anything on it, so your batteries don’t die. Batteries included! This scale is very consistent, giving me the same readings every time. I can’t speak to it’s accuracy because I don’t have a second scale to compare it to, but I’d like to think it is on point. I have yet to find some kitchen item too heavy for this. My heaviest milk jug or wine bottle are all well below the 5 kg limit. My heaviest item is my milk, weighing in at just over 2 kg.I bought this scale so I could more easily and more accurately track the food I eat to enter in my FitBit app. This makes tracking my food stupid simple. I don’t have to worry about what size tortilla shell it is, I can just log how many grams of white flour tortilla I have eaten. There is no need for me to try to measure out drinks- I simply weigh the container before and after. Turns out my cups are 20 ounces, not 12 ounces. Ooops. You really learn a lot about what you eat when you weigh it, and it makes the calorie intake estimates near perfect.

This is a great little kitchen scales. Easy to figure out. I use it often, especially when halving or doubling a recipe.

Great kitchen appliance
Accurate and good quality scale. What I like most about it is that I can place a larger item on top and still see the numbers for the weight. Also the timeout for when there is no item and after a weight is obtained is perfect. Lasts long enough to read it again if you have to and not too long that it drains battery life. Battery life is very good too. I bought this one to replace the same brand of over 10 years – I could no longer switch to grams, the button had broken.

Makes measureing easier than using measuring cups
I started making some seriously good-tasting bread using this scale. I followed bread recipes from a book from America’s Test Kitchen which plugged a different digital scale that was almost twice as expensive, so I scanned the reviews on this Taylor scale and thought “why not?” I’m not bragging about how good everyone thinks my bread is; it’s the ATK bread book and weighing the ingredients rather than measuring them with cups that makes it all work. And so easy! Put a random bowl on the scale, zero it, scoop random amounts of flour or whatever into the bowl and wait for the digital readout to show the number you need. I’ll never be without a digital scale again, and Taylor works for me!

It works with everything from salt to flour to anything else you may want to weigh. Easily tares out when needed. I wish there was a back lit display. Only thing that would improve it.

Accurate and Easy to Use
I really like this scale. It is accurate, very simple to use and to clean — it even looks good. I use it far more than I have used previous food scales; for example, I weigh the Parkay Squeeze margarine bottle before and after dispensing in order to count the calories. I use both grams and ounces and it takes only one touch of one button to change between them. The calories per unit of weight for a lot of foods is expressed in grams. I use ounces when mixing drinks. Getting the tare weight of a container is very easy, and the scale can automatically subtract the tare weight from the total weight. Sounds like it could be complicated, but it is not. I have used the scale daily for sixty days.

Has been going string for a few years now. Very handy as you can put an empty bowl on it and recalibrate to zero. Then add your food to weight. Better than bowl type scale which limits configuration of item being weighed.
