1/4/19 It appears earlier versions of this 3-Way Switch did not fit all common Wall Plates. I brought this to the attention of MOES Customer Service, and they were very responsive and I just received there new Version of this 3-Way Switch and it now FITS all the new Wall Plates I tried it on, including some old wall plates I had on hand.With so many so many Smart Switches available to choose from today, it was important that the product was well made and had a Solid Warranty. Moes provides a 2 Year Warranty, and most Credit Cards will DOUBLE the Warranty of your purchase so you’ll get 4 years of coverage should you ever require it. As I have other Moes Smart Switch Products installed in my home, this 3-Way Switch was needed for both my Stairway and Outdoor lighting.I ordered the 2-Pack of 3-Way Switches as most homes will only require One (1) 3-Way Switch per Light to connect to the Smart Life App. Installation was simple and the included Wire Markers insured I connected the correct wires when replacing the old switch.Once installed I simply added these 3-Way Switches to the Smart Life App I had already installed on my Android phone. I then set it up to connect to my house full of Alexa Devices for Hands Free use.One thing to mention is the Smart Life App. I really believe this is superior to the many overseas based App Companies as many don’t even have a Server here in North America. This means you will in some cases have better response when using this App. I checked into this when I was having long response times to get Lights to function from other similar Apps. Before I ordered any Moes Smart products, I confirmed first that the “Smart Life” App Developers not only had an office here in the States, but has a Server here also to insure reliable service.The Smart Life App also features so many ways to Schedule Light. Sunrise to Sunset / Countdown Timers, set your own Schedules, and what’s really exciting is the “SMART” App Section. Here you will find the ability to program your lighting based on either “Scenes” or “Automation”.. So basically, you simply choose Temperature / Humidity / Weather Conditions, etc. and you can have your lighting (or other connected devices) come on or turn off based on these parameters. You don’t have to be a programmer to utilize these great features!And if you have ever had issues in the past troubleshooting why a Smart Switch was not working, the SMART LIFE APP has a built in Network Diagnostic for each of your Smart Moes Devices. It will report Signal Strength and confirm Network Access if a problem occurs.I’ve been very happy with these SMART Switches and combining them with my Alexa Voice Control makes life a bit more convenient for us. Even my Wife who is techno-phobic finds these easy to use, though sometimes she does have an argument with Alexa.

Troublesome and unreliable, and too big to fit in standard electrical box with multiple wires.
I’ve purchased about 10 Moes 3-way “smart” switches and had problems with about half of them.I think the main problem is they’re just too big to fit in the wall box with the thick electrical cables, especially in 3-way (and one with 4 way) hook-ups with the extra cable taking up more space. Even though bending and twisting the thick wires to be as compact as possible so it will fit helps it go in, when screwing it into the box it’s still compressing all the wires more and possibly damaging the unit or creating a short. I’ve had to rewire most of them at least once trying to get them to go in easier.I had one unit controlling my outdoor flood lights and I could never tell whether they were on or not as the indicator was flashing on and off or showing the incorrect state. I eventually had to put the old manual switch back in. Same with my living room lights, although there I had a camera and could at least see if they were on or not when I was away, but I shouldn’t have to do that.I tested the bad switches in another room where there was more space in the box but the they still had the problems, so they are now useless. I don’t know if they were like that anyway or forcing them in the box caused it.I have about 6 that are working ok, 3 in 3-way hookups, the rest in just single hook-ups. However, given all the problems I’ve had I will not be purchasing any more MOES products. Hopefully I can find a product that is smaller and will fit in the boxes better.

Good value, easy to work with, reliable smart switches
We’ve bought a couple of these. One of the really cool things is that they work in existing 3-way circuits with existing 3-way switches, meaning that in most cases you can upgrade two 3-way circuits with one package. We’ve had these in our house for over a year and have had no problems at all. We bought them originally because they connect directly with Alexa (no hub required) and were frankly inexpensive. They were very straightforward to install and the mobile app is easy to use.

Ok but not great
The MOES 3 Way Wi-Fi Smart Light Switch Neutral Wire Needed, Compatible with Smart Life/Tuya App was as I stated ok but not great. The installation was easy just like any other switch so no complaints there. Upon installation (for me) there was low pitch tone or whine that imitated from the switch, which was a bit annoying because I have pretty good hearing (I know probably TMI but so be it). The switch connected with the APP ok, it wasn’t as seamless as I would have hoped but it wasn’t so difficult that I feel the need to go all into it. Now that was day one of the installation. About 3 days later the switch stopped working (well it wouldn’t work with Alexa). I reset the switch several times with no success. It took about 3 times or more but after resetting it and going through the set-up phase of the App and connecting it back to Alexa the switch worked again. I have no idea why it stopped. I had no interruptions in my Wi-Fi or any unusual issues. But as I stated the switch is working now and has been without issue. I only got this switch because it came in black and I needed the color. Ordinary I would not go with this brand but if you need a black smart 3 way switch then this switch is an option.
