Limited to Geeni app access only.
The setup instructions for this were rather difficult to get going. It was not an easy setup and I was almost about to regret trying it until I got it on the last try. I had to keep resetting it and reconnecting to get it to pair up. The view on the camera is fair, with a limited view range, and as far as I can discover it does not work with other cameras on the network, and is only accessible from the app on my phone. I would like it a lot more if it could be accessed via my wifi network on a computer. I do like the movement notification via the app, but don’t like having to use another app to access it.

Fairly decent smart floodlight, but not great for motion detection at a distance
This is a fairly decent floodlight camera. The housing is sturdy and well made, and seems like it’ll hold up well to inclement weather. It doesn’t come with an SD card so I’m not sure how well it manages storage or retrieval of recorded videos. But the picture quality is pretty good, even at night. The sound quality isn’t great as with most cameras like this, but is adequate enough to make out what people are saying, and the talkback speaker volume is adequate as well. It was pretty easy to install thanks to the included screws and mounting hardware. It was also quite easy to connect and set it up using the Geeni app. The overall functionality is very good, since it is a true smart device, which works with Google Home, and almost every feature and option of it can be automated. For example, I was able to set up automations to only have it turn on the floodlight when motion is detected between sunset and sunrise based on my location, and to turn off the floodlight 5 minutes after motion is detected using a 5 minute delay timer. The one feature that is disappointing, however, is the motion detection range. Like several other cameras I’ve installed, the motion detection range is pretty short, maybe 8 to 10 feet from the camera. Even when I specifically set the activity zone in the motion detection settings to an area about 15 feet from the camera so that it excludes the area closer to the camera, I couldn’t get it to trigger a motion detection event. So that feature is pretty useless, unless the activity zone is also within 8-10 ft. of the device. Ideally, since this is a hardwired device and power consumption isn’t an issue like it would be with battery powered cameras, there should at least be an option for motion detection to be based on active analysis of the image being recorded by the camera instead of just detecting motion via the PIR sensor. This would allow for motion to be detected at longer ranges than a measly few feet away from the camera. Also, despite the activity zone being set to exclude the street in front of my house, and the fact that the camera fails to activate when I’m walking on the sidewalk (which is closer than the street), it still periodically detects motion when cars are passing by my house. So all in all, the camera’s motion detection features really need some improvement on this device, and I wouldn’t recommend it for any security-critical uses, especially if you need to detect motion at a range more than 8-10 ft. from the device. But as a somewhat-reliable, PIR-activated floodlight for a driveway with smart home integration technology, this is a pretty good device for the cost.

Bright, Clear, and Packed with Useful Features
This floodlight camera is a solid all-in-one security option. The 3MP video quality is clear enough to see details, and the wide coverage helps keep a good eye on the area. The light itself is very bright—definitely enough to light up a driveway or backyard when motion is detected. The motion activation works well and adds an extra layer of security.I really like the two-way audio feature. It’s useful for talking to someone at the door or even just letting someone know you’re aware they’re there. The built-in siren is also a nice added feature if you need it.Connection has been reliable with dual-band Wi-Fi, and the app setup is pretty straightforward.Installation does require hardwiring, so that’s something to keep in mind if you’re not used to that kind of setup.Overall, this is a feature-packed security light camera that combines visibility, monitoring, and communication all in one.

High-Luminance Security with Exceptional Local Storage Options
The Geeni Lighthawk is a highly effective security solution that combines powerful illumination with sharp surveillance capabilities. The 1800-lumen floodlights provide expansive coverage, easily saturating a large multi-car driveway with high-intensity light. This hardware is paired with a 2K (3MP) sensor that delivers crisp video fidelity. Even in low-light environments, the sensor maintains clarity, which is essential for identifying specific details in security footage. One of the most significant technical advantages of this model is the inclusion of an onboard microSD slot. This allows for localized data storage, providing a secure and reliable recording method without the necessity of recurring monthly cloud subscription fees—a feature that sets it apart from many competitors. Additionally, the motion-tracking software is well-calibrated; it demonstrates a sophisticated ability to distinguish between relevant human movement and environmental interference like insects or debris. It is a robust, cost-effective security choice that offers both high-end performance and long-term value.
