Most of the reviews here are from people who got this for free. I bought it and installed it myself (76 yo). Just removed old dead keypad door handle and put in this one, all parts fit existing cutouts.There is a USB-C port that you can plug a battery backup to if the batteries in the lock get too weak. Also it specifies alkaline batteries, not rechargeables. Batteries are easy to access and change, no screwdriver needed.The KK HOME app is the one to use. EZPZ. Fingerprint access works great.It’s a quality lock for the price.

As a property manager, I have installed enough keyless locks to feel like I should earn some kind of certification – Schlage, Yale, Phillips, Siemens, you name it!!!! I have also worked with Veise locks, so I already knew the brand was solid. The Veise VEO19, however, was my first time using this specific model, and it even managed to surprise me in a good way.One of the things that I really love about this company is the fact that they provide online videos and how to do the installation. That’s great because each Lock is a little bit different and has some unique features that are best displayed on a video rather than tried to be explained on piece of paper. It’s probably the only company I know that actually provides videos, such a simple thing, but so very much appreciated.Let’s start with the handle itself. It is different from the round handle or even the typical bulky, industrial looking smart locks. This one feels more refined and tenant friendly. It looks like a normal handle you would expect on a residential door, not something that screams “high security facility.” Tenants immediately understand how to use it, which alone reduces support calls and awkward explanations. And honestly, I really appreciate that, especially if using it on an Airbnb where you have different guests every week you don’t want to be explaining how to use the lock.Veise continues to shine above all others with their access options. Thumbprint, keypad, physical key, and key cards all in one lock feels like overkill until you realize how useful it is. And in fact last week, I had a Schlage lock at one of the properties decide to fail and that’s when I realized that I think I really will be switching everything over to Veise. You can set things up however you want depending on the tenant, the property, or your own sanity. Some people love fingerprints, some want a code, and some absolutely need a backup key just in case. This lock keeps everyone happy.The app is where this really becomes a property manager’s best friend. Adding guest access or family access is simple and intuitive. You can give temporary codes, set time limits, and manage who can come and go without standing at the door like a concierge. My favorite feature is the global “pause sharing of door codes.” With one tap, it is basically a digital time out for everyone. If you have ever needed to quickly shut down access during a tenant turnover or unexpected situation, you will appreciate how powerful that button is.One important thing to note is that this is not a deadbolt. This lock installs in the standard doorknob hole, replacing the handle, not the deadbolt above it. That actually makes it easier to retrofit in many situations, but it is something buyers should understand going in.Overall, the Veise VEO19 is a smart, well designed, and surprisingly elegant keyless entry solution. It works well, looks good, keeps tenants happy, and gives property managers excellent control without unnecessary complexity. It is one of those locks that quietly does its job, which in my world is the highest compliment I can give.
