A mighty lock for peace of mind.
Great lock and extremely easy to install. It works flawlessly with their doorbells and has a very smooth action. The motor is also surprisingly quiet! I had a Schlage smart lock prior to this one that would wake me up anytime someone left early in the morning. The eufy smart lock barely makes a peep! Extremely easy to use, and the added features like setting an auto lock time definitely makes me feel safer. The lock isn’t too big or too small. 14 days in and I couldn’t be happier with how sturdy it is!

Great lock for the price
Installation is very easy, it takes no more than 15 minutes if the door has the correct hole size. Quality is very good, it looks very good installed on the door. Not so bulky. Functionality is great, unfortunately it can’t be connected with Home Assistant. Configuring finger prints is very straight forward and the touch pad works super fast.

I love eufy locks and cameras.
The lock arrived on time and works just as good or better as the more expensive ones that I have. I would highly recommended this lock. Plus it is easy to install.

Great smart lock.
OK, I really like this smart lock. Physical installation was mechanical plug and play… took 5 minutes, literally… swapping from my old Quikset Kevo 1st gen dead bolt, which just ate batteries and worked maybe 10% of the time. Good riddance to that. The logial part of the installation was also very easy and fast. Keypad and fingerprint reader work perfectly and I had no issues with wifi, the Eufy app, or intergration with Matter partners Alexa and Apple Home (more on Apple Home later). Alexa voice control works great, however did lose its connection once where commands failed and Alexa said “there is something wrong with the Front Door (my name for the device). I had Alexa re-poll all my devices and it is back, and so far so good. I don’t know if this was a one time thing or something that might become a problem. As for Apple Home, connecting the E31 to that was also simple and the Home app and Siri both controlled the lock perfectly. But as soon as the phones’ screen goes off, Apple Home and Siri no longer work the next time. I get “command sent” then command failed messages and then that the device needs to have connection an Apple Home edge router or device like a HomePod, which I don’t have. I may get a Mini just so I can use Siri for this lock since it is way more convenient than Alexa that needs a voice security code to unlock. The other negative is that I had all my exterior doors on one key and now I need to carry another one for this. But I knew that going in. I wish every lock maker would license QuikSet’s anykey technology which makes re-keying dead simple and quick. Oh, well. The other potentially great thing about this lock is the large rechargeable battery. This looks to be a game changer, even if it gets only about half of the advertised life. No more tossing dozens of AA batteries into the trash or recycling. And hopefully much more life than the 6 weeks I used to get on the batteries for my Kevo POS.I would probably ahve given it 5 stars instead of 4 except this is day one and I have no idea how reliable this thing will prove to be or how the battery performs in the real world. Time will tell.

Good lock
Nice Lock. I have an extra thick door. I used the following kit to change out the lock tail piece:21-Piece Thick Door Lock Extension Kit – Adjustable Deadbolt Tailpiece Set for 1-4 Inch Doors – Fits SC1 SC4 KW1 Keyways – Long Screws – Heavy Duty Door Lock Repair Kit for Patio & Security Doorshttps://a.co/d/0bijv2UUNote that you have to make sure the flat part is aligned to how the bar is welded to it. The bar can be rotated to different angles…..yeah my description stinks….To get it to work with Google home you need a thread border router.Overall. It works well. Fingerprint is great.

Nice Design but with a Core Defective Problem
While the overall structure and operation of the lock are great, it looks nice and operates smoothly, something on the hardware/firmware side with the battery makes this thing a complete problem to have. And browsing Reddit and tech forums, a very common and known one possibly from their last firmware update months ago…At NO TIME does it ever warn of low battery as it’s supposed to before dying. Pair that with a dysfunctional battery life and it’s a recipe for disaster. The battery constantly lasts between about a week and half to a month at most since we got it 4 months ago. This makes this thing a hazard. We had people checking in on our dogs that it died on, and if we hadn’t had the knowledge of how gimmicky this thing is currently, we might not have thought to put a key out as backup. Even with fresh charging it, it didn’t last 2 whole weeks with being used a few times a day. That’s the thing. We don’t use this door regularly as we enter by the garage, and when we do it’s 90% by just turning the lock from the inside to go out for packages, so the only thing the lock is doing is notifying us of unlocks. And even then it barely lasts a month. And to top it off, support is nonexistent. I tried phone support where the AI said no agents were available outside of business hours, until I told it it was in their business hours that I specifically tried to call during and the AI said, “Oh you’re right, I’m sorry about that. For some reason we don’t have agents, but you’re right it’s within business hours. I recommend email.” Then email has gone from back and forth so far with generic “check this, check that” messages including “enable low battery messages” which obviously means they didn’t read that info was INCLUDED in my first message and complaint. In fact these too read like AI responses. They’re recommending choosing the right type of batteries for cold weather, which of course it’s not cold, but the problem this model is supplied with their own rechargeable battery. Which makes that a troubling thing to see them sending out in response. It’s like they’re just responding by automation. Either THEIR battery is not designed to work in cold climates or they don’t know which product their responding about. Then on future responses they acted like I said the weather was cold in my response when I said the opposite, again like an AI just half read what I wrote and responded. They said it could be a fault with the battery or an internal hardware. They offered to sell my another battery…Yeah pass on spending more money on a “possible” solution on a defective product. The overall thing seems okay and made of durable hardware. Fingerprint sensor works fine, and it’s easy to add passwords and change when they’re available. In that way, if the flaws were gone this would be a good product. But having a core problem like this makes it a non-starter if you can’t rely on it currently. I’m unsure if they can fix this with a firmware update. I’m just going to replace it with something else more reliable.

decent lock. finger print reader is very accurate and fast. procedure of fixing the lock to the door is pretty simple. build quality is ok for the price, could have been better. the lock/unlock motor makes a little more sound than i had expected, not very smooth. battery seems to be good, haven’t checked though how long it lasts between charging. I am not sure, but i wish this was available in brushed nikel finish.overall a worthy product !!

In this price range this device should be able to be programmed not to lock if the door isn’t closed all the way. This lock doesn’t know if the door is wide open or partially closed. Otherwise mostly happy with it. Oh and when leaving you shouldn’t have to long press the lock button to lock it either. The wyze lock it is replacing was much more user friendly. I was just sick of replacing batteries.
