Glad I bought this
Totally recommend, I had my son set this up for me and it was quick and easy. He showed me how it works with the app and super easy. Works great. I’m so glad I got it.It controls perfect with my porch lights and fountain. Beats having to go outside just to plug and unplug. The casing is durable.

Can’t remember if I already reviewed this product already or not. The device was simple to install and connect with my home WiFi network. I use it to control the lights and fan in my backyard gazebo. The lights and fan can be controlled independently and from any distance using the Google Home app. I could be on the other side of the planet and control them as long as I have a WiFi connection. The connect has been extremely stable. Have never had a connection issue. The device provides weather proof power connections so no worries about shorting out during even the heaviest rainstorms we have experience (we’ve had some very sever ones). Still functioned at 20 degree F. Couldn’t have found a better device. I am a retired aerospace engineer and shopped around to find the best product.

Overall good, just a bit odd with how it actually connects
This is a great unit & was just what I needed for my backyard, with 2 outlets that could be controlled separately. I really like that it has an enclosure for the outlets & set up is pretty straightforward.The main issue I ran into is it doesn’t seem to actually communicate with the app on your phone over your wifi, which seems to be the main point of having it connected to the wifi in the first place.Once I set everything up it functioned fine on its own, but I would receive notifications that it was having timing issues each time it was supposed to be working. If I checked the app in a part of the house that was far from the unit itself (while still being on the same wifi network) it would show that it was offline. Once I got close to the unit, it would show online. That tells me the phone is connecting via Bluetooth and not over the wifi network since distance between the phone & the unit shouldn’t matter if it is over the network & I have other wifi enabled devices (my landscape controller) in the same area of this outlet.So it sends error alerts if you are not close enough for the phone to connect to it directly & It also sends alerts if you are away from the house and would not be able to connect to the unit at all even it it was communicating via wifi. Even though I was getting these notifications when my phone wasn’t directly connected to the unit, the unit WAS still functioning & running through its schedules when I would walk out and check though.So in the end it works and does everything I need – I would just suggest setting it up & turning off notifications to leave it like any other non-“smart” timer. Still worth getting if you need a nice enclosed outlet timer that can control the 2 outlets separately. Just set it up and treat it like a standard timer and turn off the notifications once you have it in place.

Outdoor Smart Plug
I use this for our pool filter and pump. I have it hooked up to a solar battery so this plug allows me to turn it on and off when the battery is charged. I am able to turn it on and off from across the country and I’m able to program timers and schedule when the power goes on. Build quality is great and the app is easy to use!

Won’t stay connected to WiFi, making schedules and scenes useless
Won’t stay connected to WiFi, it only appears “online” after I open the app and refresh several times. It requires WiFi to run schedules and scenes, so any automatic timers are useless. I’ve tried using Alexa Routines as well but no dice. I have several other smart plugs, bulbs, devices etc. running in my home with zero issues with schedules and Routines. This thing is terrible and I regret buying it, will definitely be buying a different brandEdit: bought a new plug, different brand, and it works great through its app and Alexa. Location was not the issue

Compatible con Tuya y Smart Home. Llevo como 2 semanas usándolo en la intemperie, incluso en condiciones de lluvia y neblina, y no se ve que le afecte. Las series y adornos navideños conectados los tengo programados para prender y apagar en cierto momento del día con respecto a la salida y puesta del sol, haciéndolo muy conveniente para no tener que estar prendiéndolos y apagándolos manualmente.
