Brilliant product!!!
Absolutely brilliant product! I had no idea there was such a device until I stumbled across it. My job requires 100% travel and overweight luggage can be a hefty expense! When I opened the scale I struggled to get it working until I figured out the battery was dead. Once replace, it sprang to life. Wonderfully back lit, the easy to read gauge gives you Kg or Lb options. I tested its accuracy with two dumbbells. One 25lb and a 35lb. The scale registered and extra pound for both. This may actually work to your benefit making sure you don’t overpack your luggage! Setup was very easy. Readout is clear. Scale feels very sturdy. This is a very functional, high value item that could potentially save you a lot of time and money!!! Tremendous value!! 5 stars!!!

This luggage scale is compact and affordable. The price at the time of this review is $7. It is a typical design / shape for comparison, that I have purchased previously. When I have a family member graduate from college, I like to gift a set of luggage and a luggage scale. This is if they don’t already have a nice set to get started on life’s journey. I have a niece that will graduate in May 2026 so I am planning ahead.This scale from Koulate included a 2032 battery that would not operate the scale on arrival. It tested low in my battery tester as well as in this scale ( see photo with this review ). I added a fully charged 2032 battery that I had on hand and the scale is now fully operational. If I had been expecting to use this scale on arrival without time to purchase a new battery, this scale would have been useless to me. I have deducted 2 stars for this issue.The battery compartment is a bit difficult to get the cover back on properly when the battery is installed. This is based on the battery being separate and needing to be added by the user. It would make more sense to me to have a plastic tab that was removed to allow the battery to make contact when it was received.The scale is easy to use for luggage that is well balanced. The strap and hook are long enough to go around a typical handle and the shape of the scale is easy to hold when the scale is calculating. There are different settings if needed.I used to fly with an airline that had high weight limits and allowed for free checked luggage up to 35 lbs. They have changed their policies in the last year and I have found that most airlines charge for checked luggage. In my research, I also found that many have lowered the maximum weight of the carryon and the checked luggage even though they charge a fee. This makes being accurate on the weight of my bag even more important to me. I typically pack heavy and don’t want to be told that I need to shuffle between bags, pay extra fees or make last minute edits to send back with family ( to be retrieved on a future visit). I find most of my nieces have these same tendencies so being able to weigh luggage during packing, before leaving for the airport both coming and going is an important detail in travel, in my opinion.

I travel a lot and really wanted this to work because it’s a great idea. Unfortunately, the battery is very difficult to install. No matter how I put it in, the scale never turns on, and the battery compartment doesn’t close properly. Because of that, it’s wasteful. Disappointing, especially for frequent travelers.

Does not turn on
I got this scale a few days ago. Went to use it this morning and when I put the battery in – tried both directions in case – it never turned on. The device uses coin batteries and came with one but either the unit does not work or the battery is dead. I will buy a new one and try again. If it used regular batteries it would not be so bad as I have them on hand but it’s frustrating to need to buy a battery that is useless if the device still will not work. Disappointed so far.

Every travelers must have and at a very reasonable price.
Very accurate and stress saving device. I fly every three months and even though I pack the same things periodically, I don’t like the surprise of having over weight bags and the HUGE surcharge that goes with that. This very easy to use and read scale eliminates that issue altogether. Using it just once – will pay for itself. If you fly as much as I do or even frequently, it is worth its weight in gold – literally because sooner or later it WILL save you from being over weight on a checked piece.

You have to hold it a specific way
I had higher hopes for this, but I’m not sure what went wrong with the design. It does turn on and you can change it from kg to lbs to temperature, but when you start lifting, if you don’t hold it a certain way, it will turn off. I assume the weight pulls the battery connection away. The clasp is easy to put on, and if it worked properly it would be a good gadget for people who fly often. I only tested it up to 20 lbs, so I don’t know if I’d be able to get it to work at anything higher. I gave it three starts because I was able to get it to work, but if you don’t want to mess with it like that, I’d invest in a higher quality product.

On the go luggage scale
This luggage scale is so useful when traveling especially since an overweight luggage comes with additional cost. It’s easy to use. I just strap it on the handle of my luggage, pull up and I can get a pretty accurate weight. I pack it in my luggage when I travel since it’s very light and compact. I like that batteries are also included.
