Great little unit, simple installation (with some planning and prep work)
Installation on a 1985 Honda Shadow VT500CHardware installation (head unit and mounting bracket) went relatively smoothly, as I already had a crossbar mounted between my buckhorn-style handlebars, which I had used for a phone mount previously. In fact, the mounting was so simple that it actually took longer for me to tweak the angle of the screen to get it just right for my ride height and style, thanks to my OCD about such things, than it took to finally secure it in place. I love customizing things to my specific needs, so this was actually kind of a fun start to the whole process. And speaking of customization, the one complaint I would have with this unit – since every good review should have some positive criticism to help move product improvement along – would be that the screen, itself, is very shiny right out of the box, which will cause glare under almost any lighting condition, including at night with street lighting. My fix for this was to buy a cheap anti-glare screen protector kit for tablets and cut one sheet down to the correct screen size using regular scissors. Simple mod, but it would have been nice if the manufacturer had thought to include such a pre-cut solution with the product, instead of necessitating the user to buy one separately and cut it down themselvesWiring was also surprisingly easy, using a pair of 20-AWG T-Tap terminal connectors (kit bought separately) to splice into the wiring of the rear brake light. Just snap the wire splicing female ends using a pair of pliers on to the plus and minus wires of the tail light, secure the male ends onto the exposed wires of the included power cable with a crimping tool, and then connect them together. Simple! The entire process – cutting and applying the anti-glare screen protector, mounting the head unit, snaking and securing the cable through the frame, removing the seat, wiring, and finally replacing the seat again – took +/- a half an hour or so, total. I was actually worried that the entire process would be far more complicated and/or take a lot more time, since I was doing it myself. But with a little pre-planning and preparation, everything came together quite smoothly. As for the initial setup, as expected, the unit came up as soon as the bike’s power was turned on with the key. This is certainly an upgrade from a prior unit I owned just a couple of years ago (from a different company, but around the same price) that I had put on another bike. That one was wired via USB, requiring me to switch it on every time, and it was a bit of a pig to connect to and work with. That unit was quite a bit smaller, the GUI was completely unintuitive, and the Bluetooth connection was hit or miss at best, most of the time. This unit, on the other hand, was very simple to use and, after the initial pairing process – which was super simple, intuitive, and quick – just worked from then on. The screen is quite a bit larger, and it is both bright and easy to read. Now, when I turn on my bike, the head unit comes on by itself, runs through its little boot screen movie and, as long as I have my phone on me (of course), connects on its own and brings up CarPlay. No muss, no fuss, no fumbling through menus that go nowhere. In fact, it’s so fire-and-forget that I can just turn over the bike and run through my pre-ride inspection while she warms up, and I’m ready to rip without further thought about the unit, itself. At the risk of borrowing the catch phrase of another manufacturer, it just works!I have not had enough time to attest to the longevity of the product as yet, having just gotten everything installed. But, if anything changes, I’ll come back and update this review. A small number of reviewers have mentioned that their units didn’t last all that long, but I am going to chalk that up to poor initial installation for now, until I personally learn otherwise. Time will tell.FIRST UPDATE: This looks to be a clone or re-package of the Lamtto RC19 7″ motorcycle CarPlay/AA head unit, down to the same mounting hardware, but for half the price. Just something to think about.

Awesome CarPlay
Update: just beyond the return window this unit began rebooting repeatedly, nonstop, making it unusable. I tried various settings for about an hour with no resolution. Forget about getting any help. I guess I’m stuck with it.Original review: “What an amazing addition to my Harley Davidson fat boy. Navigation becomes as easy as in my car. All the CarPlay apps appear and work. Instant Bluetooth connection. Wiring is also very easy if you research how to wire into ignition activated power.”

Works Great!
Amazing for the price. Work just like Apple Car Play in my other vehicles. Really helps when you don’t have to learn a different interface for the motorcycle. I use Google Maps and Apple Music every time I ride now. It connects with Bluetooth to my sound system on the bike so no extra wiring was required. All I needed was power! My only complaint is that it could be brighter for sunny days. A little hard to see in some situations, but not bad.

Great Product
Great product. It does what it’s supposed to do. Easy to hook up and easy to use. Screen is bright and clear. No lag. Hooked up to my phone and also to my Bluetooth speaker for my side by side.

Needs to be wired properly to avoid battery drain!
I installed this unit on my 2019 Africa Twin.If you direct wire to the battery it never really powers off! It will drain your battery after a few days!I spliced into my license plate light and now the unit powers down completely!.

So far so good
I used some barrel plugs that I ordered from Amazon and plugged it into the heated gear auxiliary plug of my Harley Lowrider. It is a little bit slow to load when first starting the bike, but no slower than my F150 radio. The dual Bluetooth works awesome. I use my phone, my Cardo and this screen all together.
