Awesome Video Doorbell
I rarely do reviews because most things are simply good. I am impressed with this video camera, so I want to let people know a great item when I find one. It took 5 prior purchases/returns to finally get one that does what it says it will do. I’m not real techy, set up was easy, no help of any kind needed. It connects to wifi and Bluetooth easily, the videos are clear day and can see faces well at night, the ease of motion detection is super. I can watch remotely, the notices with the camera are clear and within seconds instead of minutes, it has night vision, it works in cold weather, not sure about sub cold, (but anyone out to do harm in that instance is crazy) I don’t need a subscription because I can save on a SD card, you can save videos to the cloud, but for me I see no reason to do so. They also offer a subscription, but not required to set up. Others I tried before you can set up they make you subscribe, then try to cancel, it isn’t fun. Works much better than a previous purchase from a famous name brand, that rhymes with bling, quicker response notices. The only thing I wish it did better is head to toe, but it might be where I have it and still not a problem for me. I will buy another from this company again for sure.

Excellent camera doorbell! Very easy setup.
I purchased this camera doorbell for security purposes because I don’t have a peephole in my front door. We have lots of home health care visitors each week, so I really have a need to see who’s coming and going. I looked at several other devices and read the reviews before purchasing this amazing product. I wanted a doorbell that was wireless, easy to install, very reasonably priced, and did not require a contract/monthly fee, and this camera doorbell FAR exceeded my expectations. I used the mounting screws, and it was super easy to set up. The instructions were awesome. I am having no problems with WiFi connectivity, and the videos are crystal clear. I also like that the mount protects the device from the elements. I haven’t installed a micro disk yet, but you also have the opportunity to save your photos/videos to the cloud for free and/or for a small monthly fee (there are several options to choose from, depending on your needs). I feel so much safer being able to see and speak with our frequent visitors! I would most definitely recommend this camera doorbell!

Great Doorbell Cam.
The IeGeek Bell J9 plus doorbell cam is a great and affordable working doorbell, Camera option. A lot of pros with this one. The app works very seamless. Connectivity was easy with the Wi-Fi network I have and and the battery life is pretty good and the pictures are actually really good for a 5 megapixel door cam and the videos are even pretty smooth. There were only three cons that I would say I wish the camera would do different one is. I wish there was a zoom out or zoom in function. The camera tends to point very high so when you’re trying to mount it, you might not get a full picture of the lower half. If you look at the picture I posted you can’t really see the steps because there’s no function to adjust the camera remotely or other otherwise ,also the battery while strong has to be recharged so to remove it you have to use a small pin or paper clip & a push hole on the bottom to get the camera out. I understand this is a security thing, but if it’s mounted to the front of your house, it’s not the easiest thing to do, especially if you live in a cold area and your hands are freezing and shaking. Overall, the app and the camera itself for the price point are definitely worth a look and I would highly recommend it. I really hope in the future yourable to adjust the lens. In an update or in the next model.

Coverage and motion detection
I can’t call any of the following things dislikes, only, things to know. If you want to record more than 10 seconds to the cloud, then either pay the extremely reasonable fee for upgraded digital storage (which is what I did) or be sure to have a compatible SD card ( which I have also added as a back up and to check functionality). When I received the device, it did require an initial charging period, which was not surprising.Pros: (so far there are quite a few)Let me start by saying that my experience with these doorbell cameras extends to Arlo and Ring units that I have had or that my significant other has. The app is easy to use and very similar to Ring so an easy adjustment. The connection to the camera is pretty quick if I just want to check on things and the alert for motion detection comes within a couple of seconds of someone walking through the trigger area that I was able to set up. You can set it’s sensitivity to motion, types of shapes such as animals or people, and the area that will cause the camera to engage. So, the free web backup and SD card are a great option if you don’t want to have another monthly or annual subscription. It is pretty simple to unmount the camera and pull the SD card for review but it can’t be at instant access and, with the service there is no chance for the memory card to fail. My girlfriend pays over 40% more for the same service and, so far, I cannot see much difference in picture quality, replay access, or function. It is a bit big but, for me, that tells someone that there is a camera watching and so I don’t mind the bigger size. Durability… I dropped it in hardwood and nothing came apart and it still functions so, accidental drop test, lol. This unit is solid and, since it can be mounted with either screws or double sided tape, I was able to mount his on the doorframe to my apartment with no problems from management. The intercom functions well although, I had to figure out the access after someone rang the doorbell but that is just learning different software and not a problem. As my breezeway is well lit, I can’t speak on thight vision but I am at the end of the corridor and I can clearly see the 40 feet to the end. You can change your voice which is pretty cool if you want to pretend to be a man to fool a stranger or to be a clown to mess with the neighbor kids. Wireless indoor bell is easy to get up and works as it should.Great product, more affordable than Ring from the product to the video service cost, equal quality in my opinion as far as function, and less expensive bit of peace of mind… Thanks!

Wouldn’t recommend. The doorbell itself is rechargeable but the battery doesn’t last long, less then a month on a charge. The bell portion also is not even rechargeable, why would they only make 1/2 parts rechargeable? It takes batteries, could of made it soo it just plugged into the wall or something.. also the camera isn’t that good, the angle isn’t wide enough and can’t see if there’s parcels etc.

Battery dies quickly. Doesn’t charge in place. I have to take off of mount to charge.

Delivery was next day. I’d originally intended to replace a sound only doorbell and wondered about adding video and saw this on Amazon at a reasonable price. I checked out the reviews and some youtube videos. It looked impressive at the price. No need for ongoing monthly subscription, the internal memory card does the job. Impressive picture even at night. Good sensitivity, I live in a cul-de-sac with a walk through and people 2 to 3 car lengths trigger the sensor (on level3). Its been running a week and battery still shows 82% so probably a month plus on a full charge. Not too hard to setup, online video reviews help, can’t setup Alexa link but that may be because I don’t use an Alexa show( that’s why 4 rather than 5 stars). Impressed at the moment, you can add additional cameras some of which are solar powered, so no need for wiring. Hopefully will not require but option is good.

A friend had a Ring doorbell and was unhappy with the cloud subscription. When she saw my ieGeek security camera with SD card, she replaced her Ring and saved herself some money. Like me she was more than happy with the camera and the ieGeek app. When ieGeek launched this video doorbell I was interested to see how well it compared to the security camera.Obviously it’s smaller, has a doorbell and chime. But like the camera, it connects to the same ieGeek phone app. It also has some notable extras, such as the three pre-recorded messages and voice disguise option, though I couldn’t find how to use this. And like the camera it comes with free cloud storage of 6 second clips for 7 days. Paid cloud subscription is available or one can opt for local SD card storage. As expected, the doorbell is well packaged with a useful user guide and USB charging cable. Batteries for the bell chime are included but no SD card. But I already have loads of them. Before using, the doorbell’s battery should be charged for between 8 to 10 hours, though mine only took about 4 hours. There’s a red indicator light on the charging port which turns blue when fully charged. And the battery level can easily be checked via the phone app.The doorbell sits in a cradle which can either be screwed to the wall/doorframe (screws and wall plugs are supplied) or attached using the three self-adhesive, double sided pads. The chime is free standing and one can choose from 4 ringtones and adjust the volume.Setup is so easy. The doorbell and chime should be paired by default but easy to do if not.Next charge the doorbell, insert an SD card (if required), download the ieGeek app and then “add” the doorbell. Choose a suitable location and test the wifi quality using the app. Remove the bell from its cradle, using the supplied “key” and fix in position. Finally place the chime somewhere convenient and test the doorbell. If you have a suitable Alexa device, the doorbell can be added using the ieGeek Cam skill. Just follow the instructions in the ieGeek phone app. And remember to change the device name from the default numeric one. I now have all my ieGeek cameras and the doorbell added to my Echo Show which works really well.In summary, the doorbell was of similar quality to the ieGeek security cameras and works really well with the phone app. I really like the free cloud storage and the option of using an SD card for longer clips and history. The app (and my Echo) provides a continuous live camera view and motion detection alerts. Plus you get a cordless chime unit. A much cheaper option than a Ring!

The 3 stars are for the camera itself.Works as well as expected. This will not work if your router is set to 5 GHz. It only works on 2.4.I managed to trick mine into switching by going to the far end of the garden, then it connected. However, the problem starts when you think about a subscription. There are so many settings that you don’t know what they do. Lots of subscription packages that you don’t know what covers what. I have 2 cameras also and I would have to pay for 3 devices. Customer service didn’t explain the difference between the packages, whether I needed WiFi or 4g access which are 2 separate deals. If I hadn’t missed the return date then I would have returned the lot. Buy Ring instead, I know someone who pays £80 per year for 4 cameras and a doorbell and can access his cameras anytime, anywhere.
