Great Apple Find My Alternative for Travel and Everyday Tracking
I was really happy to find these, especially with an upcoming trip, they’re perfect for luggage. While they’re marketed as car trackers, I like that they’re versatile enough for so many everyday uses. I’ll be placing one in my rental car so I can easily locate it in unfamiliar areas, and they’re just as useful for bags, purses, or anything valuable you want to keep track of.Setup was quick and easy. It paired instantly with my iPhone using the Find My app, just make sure Find My are enabled and follow the “other item” option during setup. The instructions included are simple to follow.I also like the compact size and the magnetic case, which feels secure and well-made. The fact that there’s no subscription fee is a big plus, and the replaceable battery adds to the convenience.Overall, this is a practical and affordable alternative for anyone already using Apple’s Find My network. It’s been reliable so far and gives me peace of mind when traveling or keeping track of important items.

Works perfectly!
My husband and I have never managed to get a location-sharing app since I have an iPhone and he has a Samsung. Occasionally, I want to know if he’s headed home from work but worry about distracting him if he’s driving. This is the perfect solution and substantially cheaper than the branded version!The tag was well protected when it arrived. The instructions were a bit confusing with some typos. The steps started with explaining how to insert the battery, which arrived already inserted, so that was a little confusing. Connecting it to the FindMy app was pretty simple, even as someone who’s never used it before!The tag itself is pretty small – the same size as the branded item if I’m thinking right. And it comes with a little silicone case that it can slide into. The silicone case has magnets, plus optional magnets with sticker backs for if you want to attach a sticker magnet to an item and then snap it off and on.There’s a bit of a lag between when you open the app and it senses the tag’s location – not sure if this is typical for these items, so I didn’t remove a star.Since my husband obviously knows about the tag, I just popped it onto the driver’s side of the car. I was honestly pretty concerned that the magnet wasn’t strong enough to stay, but it’s been there about a week without moving at all. I might be nervous about sticking it to the bottom of the car, where it could potentially be hit with items from the road and pop off.Overall, I think this is a great item and works as expected. Given that it currently is $14.99 (half the price of the brand-name version), I’d strongly recommend it!
