Reliable, Easy, and Long Battery Life
I absolutely love this smart fingerprint door knob with keypad. It has made getting in and out of the house so much easier. The fingerprint reader works quickly and accurately, and the keypad is great as a backup option. One of my favorite things is the battery life. It stays charged for about six months, which is amazing compared to other smart locks. When it does need charging, it’s very easy to recharge, so there’s no hassle at all.Installation was simple, it feels sturdy, and it gives me extra peace of mind knowing my door is secure without needing to carry keys around. If you’re looking for a convenient and reliable smart lock, I definitely recommend this one!

Highly recommend these secure door knobs as they easily replace most common bedroom door knobs.
Bought these door knobs to provide extra security on a group home and am very please with their quality and function. The installed easily as a replacement for all our indoor bedroom type door knobs that have a simple lock on one side and just a knob on the other. They hold a charge from 4 months to more than 8 months, depending on usage. If you use them more than 10 times a day it has an impact on the battery and it can reduce function to 4 months. When the knob goes dead it’s easy to open by just plugging in a usb-c batter charger. I happen to have several which I just hang off the know for charging, which takes a few hours and it’s good for another 4 to 8 months.I find their finger print reader to be accurate and reliable. If there is a bit of grease or ‘gunk’ on the knob, a simple swipe of the reader with an alcohol wipe clears up the difficulty reading fingerprints and notice this only on doors near a kitchen where butter and grease are on hands frequently. The app is easy to use and very intuitive. It allows you to create temporary entry codes and multiple finger print entries per knob as needed. You can bypass the finger print entry for a numeric code you set on the app, or you can just unlock the knob with the app. So there are 3 ways to open the door, finger print, numeric code or with the app.I highly recommend these secure door knobs as they are reliable and easy to use.

6 Months Later: Still One of the Best Smart Knobs I’ve Bou
I’ve had this smart door knob for about six months now, and honestly I’m impressed. The design looks really good in person, and the battery life is crazy — I charged it once when I first installed it and haven’t had to charge it again since. The physical knob that controls who can open the door is super easy to use. I love that it actually has a physical control, because so many car and tech companies have moved to touch-only systems and they end up way more frustrating. This one keeps it simple, which I appreciate. The app works really well for setting up codes and managing access, but realistically you’re never going to use the app to unlock the door. It connects through Bluetooth, so you have to be standing basically right next to the knob for it to register anyway. But that’s not a dealbreaker since nobody is buying this to unlock doors from far away.I’ve been watching for any signs of wear, and so far I haven’t noticed any. The knob only rotates about 45 degrees to fully open, which makes it super quick. At first it felt a little stiff, but after using it for a bit it loosened up. You could use WD-40 if you wanted, but it’s not necessary. The fingerprint reader is the real reason I’d give this 5 stars. It’s sensitive in a good way — you do need to place the same part of your finger that you originally scanned, and sometimes I have to adjust my finger two or three times. But it’s not annoying, it’s just normal for a fingerprint sensor. If your finger is wet, it won’t read, but that’s pretty standard too. I actually included a video in my review showing this. Also, I love that it comes with a physical key as a backup in case the battery ever dies. That’s a really smart touch.Overall, this lock has been reliable, looks great, and does exactly what I need. Highly recommend it.

Has made life with young kids so much easier!
My review is based on our very specific usage, which was to add a very easy deterrent to our young children wandering into the basement on their own while making it very quick and easy for us to open it as we please. Honestly I wouldn’t deploy something like this for something very high stakes / security, such as say, our front or back doors. I do have a very robust network at home with separate VLANs for different devices, guests, usage, etc, so I’m not too concerned on the “smart” aspect given its location and usage. But anyway, for something like a basement, closet, garage, or bedroom (i.e. interior rooms) door, this is fantastic! The numbers are very easy to see in the light or dark (TIP: first press doesn’t count and basically wakes / lights up the numbers, and then you punch in your code).I’ve had no issues with the fingerprint recognition at all, although I employed various techniques I use on my other devices to increase successful FP recognition on this as well (TIP: if you try to add the same FP twice in the app, it will reject it and say you’ve already enrolled that FP. However, you can add different areas of the same finger, multiple times. AND BIG TIP: I also soaked my thumb and left it slightly wet, and then enrolled it again. This way, if it’s right after washing my hands or using the sink, I still get it to work first try almost every time!)I already have significant experience with random, made in china, smart devices that use the Tuya / Smart Life apps (I use the former) so setting it up was very easy and simple. I also bought a wifi gateway for $15 (unfortunately not in stock anymore, it was made by Pulido, but a lot of them are the same generic stuff designed to work with Tuya / SL) and everything paired and connected right away.I’ve had it for almost 3 months now and I only just charged it for the first time (other than initial opening and full charging) last week, and the battery was still over 40%. And we use it very often, even more than our front door (we constantly go down and up the basement for the kids to play or to grab stuff from the basement fridge, exercise, grab toys, etc). I simply used one of our many battery banks lying around.Overall I’m extremely happy I went with this. It replaced a regular ol’ Schlage oil-rubbed bronze key locking doorknob and it was essentially a drop in replacement. The matte black finish looks quite nice and quality, and hasn’t shown any signs of wear or scratching or anything since I installed it. I haven’t and won’t need to mess with the various locking modes since it’s just me and my wife as admins so I can’t speak to that. But if (probably more like when) I plan to swap out some of the doorknobs upstairs, I’ll be more than happy to pick up another one of these.
