compact and fun for travel photos
i’ve been using this portable photo printer for several days now, and it’s been super handy for printing pics on the go. it connects easily to my phone via bluetooth, and the color prints come out sharp and vibrant with no smudges. the included paper lasts a good while, and it’s compact enough to toss in my bag for travel or family events. quick setup and consistent results make it a fun little gadget for capturing moments

Disappointing print quality & experience
The printer cartridge I received with my photo printer was defective, preventing the printer from functioning. I fixed it by gluing the magnet that keeps the cartridge in place back onto the cartridge. However the cartridge continued to have printing issues. I used an entire 10 pack of paper just trying to clean the printer heads (it prints a test page before and after each cleaning). I did a system update and went back and forth with customer service for a week (having to send multiple photos and explanations) just trying to get it to work. Finally, after all of that customer service agreed to send a replacement ink cartridge (but no additional paper, unfortunately). The pictures show the best print I’ve been able to get from this device (photo with white border) compared to a print on a regular inkjet printer and the original photo. The best print I’ve had so far still shows striping and pixelation. This is after multiple cleanings. I was hoping for better quality. It’s also worth mentioning that the app is kind of clunky. Overall, I’m disappointed and not sure if it’s worth keeping or of if I should look for another option.

Buyer beware 😔
Beware! I bought this printer so excited because of the reviews. Maybe I received a one off printer that was defective, but it does not work.I installed the printer head and paper properly. Downloaded the app and past two successful test page prints (after many failed photo print attempts), nothing else ever came out other than blank photo papers.The printer head definitely had ink in it, but didn’t seem like it was making contact with the actual paper?So frustrating! I am very disappointed because it was a great price and it seemed like one of the better options out there.Will be returning. Also, the QR code in the materials that sends you to the app to download, has you download their label printer app, not the photo printer app. They both work and both ended up with not being able to print not one photo.

Cute & Convenient
The instructions are easy to understand. The photos are good quality for such a tiny little printer. I’ll see how long the ink lasts. I’m curious to know how many photos I can get out of one ink cartridge given the price.I do have a full-size printer, but it’s nice to be able to get like a little Polaroid type photo to add to my journal I suppose I could just cut them out that way from a larger piece of paper, but this is convenient.

Poor photo quality
My kid wanted a Polaroid style photo (white at the bottom to write on) for his character drawings, most of which are digitally created. This Nelko printer seemed perfect for this. However, when we printed test photos, the first was a photo of my son with our black lab, and the lab ended up being a big black blob. Next I printed at line drawing he’d done and it turned out okay, but in trying to make the background whiter, it printed with a blue tint. But then I printed a digital drawing he did of a brown-skinned character with black ringlets and the result was horrible. I’ve included images of the original digital images and the printed image from the Nelko printer in this review so you can see for yourself the difference. I didn’t include the one of my son and our dog for privacy reasons.I really wanted this printer to work, and if you’re just printing lighter images, maybe it will be ok. But it won’t work for us, so I’m returning to Amazon.One other note: The Labelize app this printer uses is pretty clunky. If we’d kept the printer, all the editing would have to be done in a different app.
