Floodlight has no features .. it’s all camera
Confusing for someone in IT. The flood light has almost no configurable settings other than “privacy” on off. If u are looking for a floodlight that goes on when people are coming or going and want the camera… suggest u look for another product. It’s mostly a camera and it happens to have a floodlight with NO features like on minutes.. none !

Good camera and motion sensor light!
Very good camera, it’s pretty clear at night and the motion sensor light is exactly what I was looking for! Originally I was just looking for an outdoor light to use but having the camera has been extra handy too. Setting up the camera gave me a little difficulty but it ended up being my network configuration being too “complex” for the camera so I put it on my guest network instead. The camera itself has PTZ which is a great feature to have since it can motion track anyone on the side of my house but mainly I just have it pointed towards the front. The Light is also very bright and lights up the whole side of my house perfectly! It’s been great having 1 device that pulls double duty! 10/10!

GREAT working camera and lights for the money…but sometimes lights get stuck “on”.
I was all set to give this 5 stars….I really like this camera, the views are clear, the PTZ works great and is fast. The motion detection works fantastic and the lights on it are extremely bright…all of this for this cost is amazing! I don’t even mind the smartview app since I already use that for several other products (much better than having to use a proprietary app and adding YET another app to my phone. So, why 4 stars? Well…I ran into a problem. EVERY once in a while…the lights get stuck “on”. So most of the time, it will detect motion….the lights turn on…it records, everything works as it should…and after 5 or so minutes, the lights turn back off…this is fantastic for where I have this (on the blind side of my house facing a small section of forest that frequently has people (kids) walking through it right up to my house)…I have already caught someone walking through the woods with a clipboard and “inspecting” my house (he was a window contractor seeing how old my windows were before leaving his card at my front door)…as I said, the camera works great. But about 1x a week…I will look out my side window at night and see the lights on…and I will realize the lights have been on since last night…and would stay on until I went into the app and manually turned them off….that has gotten a little annoying…

Upsell for Cloud
Not a fan of the app. It really pushes a subscription if you want to use most of the features, which is frustrating. If this worked with more open protocols, I would have happily integrated it into my existing system. As it is, you are kind of locked into their ecosystem.I am currently just using it as a motion light with a camera, and even then it is not the most reliable. It sometimes stays on longer than it should or does not trigger when expected. The light output itself is strong and the camera quality is decent, but the software side holds it back quite a bit.

Video is great, light not so much
This outdoor camera / floodlight works OK. If you have ever installed an outdoor light, this will be a breeze to install. It comes with all of the hardware you need to install it, and it attaches to the faceplate on your house with only 1 screw. I found that the screw from my old light worked with this one. The app was also very easy to setup with the camera, which I was happy about. The video quality is very good. You can pay for keeping video on the cloud or us a Micro USB card that installs in the camera body to store recorded video. I chose the USB card, so I can comment on the cloud storage. I am not an electrician, but this does not come with a ground wire, which I found strange, but it seems to work just fine. I just hope it is safe to use.The reason I am only giving this 2-stars is because of the motion sensor. My old LED floodlight I replaced this with came on as soon as my dogs went outside through the doggie door. The lights would stay of for 2 minutes and if there was no more motion, they went off. The floodlights came on quickly and filled my backyard with bright light. With these lights, my dogs go out and rarely trigger the light to come on at all. I go out, and I have to stand in front of the camera and wave my arms before the floodlights come on. And when they do, the go off after about 30 seconds. For me, the security comes from blasting my backyard with light when someone comes into my backyard, like my old security lights did. This does not do that. I can literally walk all over my back yard in the dark, and I have to walk right up to the camera to get the floodlights to come on. I was hoping there was a setting I was missing in the app to get the lights to work as security lights, but I could not find one. I am thinking of returning it.
