Great quality lock
It was very easy to install and I’ve had it on my door for a couple months now and it’s working great. Batteries last you a while in the lock, the lock works smoothly with little sound, and it was a price I couldn’t pass up for all of the amenities. I love the finger print function as it makes it 10x quicker but as a fail safe you have buttons to type a code right at the tips of your fingers. Great lock, definitely recommend.

Great value & easy setup
This is my first smart door knob and it was super easy to set up and works perfectly! Has great options for ways to get in and the shape is different, but I love it! A very inexpensive buy for a great security option and it’s hard to get inside when it’s locked. It also fit my small trailer door which I’ve had issues with in the past and it is very sturdy on my door. It also fixed the issue I had with my door being able to close and it weighted it to the point where it swings closed by itself without me having to push it closed.

We love this lock. We have bought 2. I’m a 78 year-old woman and still found it easy to install and set up by myself. And when I did have a question I called their support number and Aaron helped me right away. It only took about 2 minutes on the phone. Kudos to Aaron.

Not big and bulky
I love this lock. It’s perfect for my side gate. It locks automatically whenever you close it. The Barrett was working fine until recently after all the rain. I’ve replaced them several times and they drain within 24 hours. I’m going to return and buy again.

Battery doesn’t last AT ALL!
Works ok, battery doesn’t last! In the beginning, we had to change the batteries every week or so and whiting time it’s getting worst… DONT BUY!!! Looks good, nice quality, but the fact that eats the battery is a huge downside for us, because we use it once or twice every other day, it is on the side door to the yard, it’s not even on the main door we use daily. I’m not sure what drains the batteries but it can get very expensive to be replacing batteries every two-three days. I’m not sure if we got a defected product, but I’ve read a few reviews complaining of the same issue, wish the product had more honest reviews back when I purchased it back in Feb. So, DONT BUY!!!!!!

I’ve purchased several different keypad locks and this is the best. It was a lot cheaper, so I didn’t expect much. It’s very reliable. It’s intuitive. Programming was simple. The best feature though, is that EVERYTIME you shut the door, it goes back to locked, without fail. Every other lock I’ve purchased on Amazon, would randomly not auto lock, and that’s a deal breaker. I’ve never had the fingerprint option fail. Also the keypad works just as well. If you happen to somehow let the battery run out, and you don’t have a key, this thing has a place you can attach to a portable battery charger so you’re not left outside. We’ve had it about 3 weeks, used multiple times a day, and even in 10° weather, and it always works. Great purchase. Also, it looks smart too. Doesn’t look cheap at all. It’s also simple to turn and fits easy in your hand, not clunky or awkward. Now that I know it works, I’ll be buying a couple more for other doors. Also, there are reviews saying that any fingerprint will work, even if not programmed in—I have found this to be false. I’ve tried it many times and it will not open unless the actual fingerprint was programmed.

We purchased these fingerprint scanning door locks because we have a daughter with moderate to severe autism. She is non-verbal, and it’s extremely difficult to communicate with her about boundaries or unsafe areas in the house. For example, she has flooded our bathroom by turning on the bathtub water when unsupervised, and she’s played in the toilet more than once. We needed a way to secure certain areas for her safety and for our peace of mind.One of the rooms we secured is my office, which has my work computer and multiple monitors. She’s damaged equipment before, so keeping her out of that space is essential. We also use these locks to keep her out of rooms where dangerous items might be stored or where she could get hurt—like our guest bathroom and bedroom during the day. Our bedroom connects to another bathroom, so securing it means she can’t access that space either.After installing the first lock and seeing how well it worked—and how solid and well-made it felt—I immediately bought two more for other areas of the house. I’m seriously considering a fourth for the toilet room in our master bathroom, which has a window that’s not very high off the ground. We’ve caught her playing near it before, and we’re concerned she could fall if she got it open. With the door locked, that area stays safely out of reach.I’ve seen reviews where people said the fingerprint scanner didn’t work well, but that hasn’t been my experience at all. We’ve tested multiple fingerprints. I programmed mine, and it only unlocks for my fingerprints. My wife tried hers and it didn’t work until I specifically programmed her thumbs—and then both worked instantly. Scanning is fast—about a second—and consistent. Maybe others received defective units, but I’ve bought three, and they’ve all worked flawlessly.That said, I wouldn’t use these on an exterior door—I personally don’t trust electronic locks as the only barrier against intruders. Maybe they’d be fine for a mudroom or similar area, but not as your front door lock. Then again, if someone really wants in, they’re probably breaking a window anyway.For interior use, especially to keep children safe, I can’t recommend these enough. Absolutely love these door knobs. The finger print readers work fantastically, the chime you can leave is very convenient and the code input is as well. Especially that you can do so many different codes for each parent or whoever. Very easy to operate, change codes, remove codes. Easy to install. Only took 15 minutes of that. This is the 3rd type of code/fingerprint door handle we have tried and it’s amazing very good quality, functionality especially for cost.

I bought this lock as it was advertised for outdoor use and I needed something for my exterior door. Unfortunately it didn’t survive the first time it caught some rain. The fingerprint sensor seems dead already and only the keylock works now. This is very disappointing as I installed the lock very recently and it only got rained on a day ago. Not happy and can’t recommend this product.Update: I would like to reduce my one star rating to zero stars if I could. The lock now consumes batteries in an unsustainable way and I have to uninstall it. The seller never got back to me after I asked for a refund. I highly doubt this lock is actually made for outdoor weather judging how quickly it broke after some rain. Very disappointed with the sellers reaction and will now escalate to Amazon. This was a really bad costumer experience and I feel Amazon needs to act here.

There are many of these types of locks on the market. I bought this one because it said it was good for outdoors. I would say I had the first one for about 8 months in all types of weather and it was convenient and flawless so I began ordering more. Then it happened. Fingerprint reader would not register and the batteries would only last about a week, which is odd because it only powers a beeping sound and for the handle to engage with the latch mechanism. As it stands the knob is only good for entering a code and when I get tired of replacing the Duracells, it will be key only. I have one installed in a room in my house so we’ll see how that goes and I don’t know what I’ll do with the third one. It’s really too bad, because it was so easy to use. I think if they built a flap over the print reader to protect from rain and also solved the battery draining glitch, it would be a great product.
