Great outdoor security camera
I got this camera to add some security to my front porch for my apartment. I didn’t really need a doorbell function so a camera with event alerts like this was fine for me. I replaced the porch light bulb with this camera, and set it up to monitor my porch and the stairs leading up to my door. Set up was VERY easy, syncing was a breeze. Once it connected to my phone it found my wifi and updated quickly. I was able to adjust the field of view and set up the areas to trigger the events to capture. I put in a 256 SD card and it continuously records so i can go back to any point in the recent past. For about $25 this is a great value for what i needed to add an extra layer of security without needing to worry about changing batteries, or wiring usb cables to keep it charged. Just screw it in and plug and play!

Hot Garbage
Check out my first picture. If you buy one of these, this is what you’re going to see most often in the app, unless you have the camera mounted indoors, line of sight from the router, and 5ft. or less away.I bought mine around the Black Friday deals, leaving the cost of mine well in the single digits, so my expectations were low. I also checked out the other reviews and the quality of the images looked very impressive so I figured it was worth a shot. All I wanted was a camera that would reliably connect and give me a good picture of the craptastic corner of the living community in which I reside. I’ve got lots of undesirable things going on outside on a semi-regular basis and I live in Wisconsin so I just wanted something that I could use as a deterrent and also so I don’t have to go outside to see what is causing loud noises out there at any given time. It’s just too damn cold to be doing that all the time. Also, I’m a Network Engineer by trade and I’ve done some Cybersecurity work so I have to admit to being very skeptical putting a device that clearly cost a lot more to create, ship, market, and sell all the way from China than it costs inside my home network. Especially when the device uploads all of its’ data to the cloud and uses AI to determine and describe what is going on whenever an event is generated. I realize that any device you put inside your firewall can potentially transmit any data that it sees back to home base to be used in any manner they see fit. For that matter, devices can be used to remotely infiltrate your home network if that was their intent. As it turns out, none of these are concerns for me because the radios in this device are horrible. Mine’s mounted next to my front door, some 10 feet or so from my router, which is an AX1500. There’s a wall in between, and it’s mounted inside a light fixture, but the wall has no metal inside of it, just drywall and fiberglass and a tiny bit of wood, leading me to believe the metal in the fixture is what’s scrambling/blocking the signal just enough to make the camera unusable 80% of the time. I also tried extending out the socket it’s plugged into with one and then two socket extenders. Neither made a significant difference. If you look at picture #2 you can see the night vision and the image quality of this camera are both fantastic. That picture is also after it rained. The app leaves little to be desired; it doesn’t nag you unnecessarily to upgrade nearly as much as it could or make you buy a subscription, although the AI generated descriptions and cloud stored videos are super handy while you have the trial. I don’t have the need for all of that. The still photos that it takes when a motion event is detected after the trial period expires are completely useless. I suspect this is by design. This device has a lot of tech packed into a very small package that works pretty well with the glaring exception of the radios which could barely be any worse than they are.You should also understand how to turn off app notifications on your device before installing this one, as it will ping you every time motion is detected, which is literally dozens of times a day where I unfortunately reside. You’re not going to want to keep these turned on.If I lived in a house in the country, or maybe even the suburbs, that had just a little bit of traffic going on, AND I had some kind of wifi repeater or mesh device close by the device to pick up the signals off of this thing, it might be worth keeping; but for where I’m at and what I’m using it for this thing sucks. I gave it two stars because it might suit someone else’s use case as I’ve just described, but it certainly doesn’t suit mine. I’ve got a spare mesh router I could fire up just to get this thing possibly working and stable but I’d rather just return it and get one that has better radios and probably 5GHz to try in case the 2.4 doesn’t work like this one didn’t.Also just for comparisons’ sake I have up to 14 devices, including this one, concurrently attached to my home network and none of the others have issues with connectivity. It’s really too bad because the image quality, night vision, and motion detection are all pretty great.EDIT: This is now a 1-star item.First one stopped working completely, returned the first one, got replacement today. It’s even worse. Connected for a few minutes and then quit. This one at least still turns on but it won’t connect to the network. They get an A+ for cute packaging, though.Stay far, far away.

Great Camera
Camera was easy to set up and the video quality is great. The spotlight is a great feature along with the flood light. Many different settings to make it custom to your needs. It has been a good addition to our home security.

Overall, a good camera
The camera is excellent. The initial setup was super easy, but I moved it and thanks to a tutorial, found the reset button. It took a little while to pair the phone with the camera the second time, but I contacted customer service and they responded immediately with a solution, excellent! It didn’t work in the original ceiling socket, so I had to use the extension, which doesn’t hide the camera very well. I wish the light that stays on at night could be turned off, as the camera’s bright light is very easily activated, clearly indicating that there’s a camera there; it even activates with insects flying around my doorway. Despite that, I’m very satisfied with the product; the video quality is excellent. I didn’t purchase a plan. Overall, it does its job because I can keep an eye on what’s happening in front of my apartment.

Good for what you need
Easy set up, picture quality is great and clean, comes with the necessary adapters. Only complaint is that it gives way to many false alerts it’s so annoying! The light is bright and comes in handy, comes on when the sunsets.

Perfect porch camera
This camera is perfect and has such a clear view. It was easy to install and use the app. It was well worth the money!

Worth it. Better when combined with others from their brand
These cameras have been great. I have this one and one inside, and both have been extremely successful to my goals. Even with the camera being outside, i still receive fairly good signal, and the accessibility in the app is probably my favorite part. Setup is easy, and while the motion sensor may be off sometimes, you can easily fix that by changing the sensitivity settings

The concept is great. Easy connection to phone & wifi. However, we needed continuous power through light socket which was not viable. Other than that, the product is very good

Video quality is very good but the recoding is terrible. I have it installed outside same floor as the router and yet it take so long to start playing the recorded video and often fails completelyAnd it bugs me everytime I want to play video recorded it ask me if I want to upgrade. How many times I have to say no.This one is going back
