Good quality product to make smart switches
This Osprey Life Fingerbot device is well made, easily works to change a switch state, and integrates easily with my smart home setup. So it performs its functions well, and is an inexpensive way to integrate smart capability without physically changing switches or outlets. I have used it primarily to turn on an old style coffee pot that does not have a timer or delay function so that I can have coffee ready when I wake up.My only complaint is that it is an eyesore to have the fingerbot hanging from a switch or device for the activation. Perhaps this is just my personal preference, but I do believe a “smart” device should look modern and the addition of this fingerbot is a very visible reminder that this is not a clean install. But, to keep older devices that still function just fine working in a modern technological home, this is a great solution. I hope in future iterations they can find a way to make the actual fingerbot a smaller profile with the strength to activate a variety of switches. I would also think that offering a color option (i.e. black instead of white) would allow the chance to match an appliance color better which will help this not stick out as much.Overall, I would absolutely recommend this if you want some smart home features for switches that are older if you accept the visual reminder of this as an add on.

If you have traditional rocker switch this is the bot for you
Best option for an old style rocker switch, I hope they improve and expand their brand

Fun and Responsive Smart Home Gadget
This is definitely a cool addition to any smart home setup. It feels more like a gadget or “toy,” but it’s surprisingly functional for simple tasks.Response time is impressive, with almost no noticeable delay when activated. It works well with basic buttons and switches, making it useful for automating things that aren’t already smart. One important thing to note is that it doesn’t work with devices that require human touch sensing, like phone screens. So it has its limitations depending on what you plan to use it for.Overall, a fun and affordable gadget that works well within its intended use.

Smart Upgrade just not for a rocker
This smart toggle switch works really well overall. It’s responsive, connects reliably, and does exactly what you’d expect from a smart upgrade. Setup was straightforward, and once it’s up and running, the performance is solid with no lag or connectivity issues. The only downside for me is compatibility. I specifically wanted to use it with a rocker switch in my wife’s office since she never turns the light off, but I couldn’t get it to work with that setup. It functions perfectly with other switch types, so it’s not a dealbreaker, just a limitation depending on your setup. If you’re using standard switches, this is a great option. Easy to mount, doesn’t make a ton of noise, and seems to have a good battery life.

Handy Finger Bot
This Smart Fingerbot ended up being a useful solution for a very specific problem in my setup. I wanted a way to remotely power cycle a Linux-based Plex server that occasionally crashes, without having to physically walk over and press the power button myself. There was some initial trouble getting everything connected and working properly, so setup wasn’t completely seamless. Once configured, though, it started doing exactly what I needed it to do. The ability to trigger the button press remotely through the app is very convenient, especially when the server becomes unresponsive. The included gateway is important since it allows control from anywhere rather than only over Bluetooth range. Installation is simple with the adhesive mount, and the device itself is compact enough not to get in the way. Overall, it took a little patience upfront, but it’s been a clever and practical remote recovery tool for my server setup.
