Very mobile and lightweight!
This scanner helped me tremendously!It was very easy to set up, the quality of the scan was spot on. I can scan one sided or two sided , in color or just black and white and, it turns all pages to a pdf ready for emailing as an attachment!

Worth the price.. good quality
Good product. Since it is paper fed.. you have to be careful in the insertion of the item to be scanned as it may scan crooked and you have to redo the scan. Charging does take a long time as noted by others but that’s not a show stopper as I power it throught the usb-c connection my laptop. Good size for traveling.

Compact, wireless, sleek… a workhorse!
Compact, quick, wireless… Outstanding. I love this scanner. It’s easy to use, the set up is straightforward… The ability to portably scan documents in using its built-in wifi is a game changer, and enhance my ability to be a digital nomad. Oh, I forgot…its duplex scanning feature is a tremendous value-added feature, let alone the fact that its closest competitor charges $30 more for the same quality and features.

OUTSTANDING Addition to My Office!
I would formerly get up and down from my desk to feed sheets to be (slowly) scanned on my HP Printer. This portable scanner is excellent! EASY setup and EASY to use. MUCH faster scanning than my HP Printer and gives crisp, clean images. Once I saw my optometrist using one of these (although a different brand), I thought I’d try it. In comparing different companies, models and reviews I chose this one. Seems like it’s made by a licensee of HP but in spite of that, it’s one of the best IT investments I’ve made. Strongly recommended and think you’ll be pleased.

Does not work with smartphone. Not real WIFI. Misleading description.
I was excited to get a mobile scanner that works with my smartphone as described in the description but I am very disappointed finding out it does not work with smartphone. It only works in two ways: scan from computer with USB cable or disconnect your computer WIFI and join the scanner WIFI. It mentioned in the HP website that downloading a WorkScan app will let you scan from smartphone but the mentioned WorkScan app does not exist in the app store at all. The user manual does not say anything about scanning from smartphone. Only the website says it can scan from smartphone. So forget about the smartphone, what about the computer? It does work with wired USB connection and the scan speed is fast in 300 dpi but very slow in 600 dpi. The WIFI connection is a joke. You have to disconnect your computer from your WIFI/internet and join the scanner WIFI. When you are done, you can disconnect the scanner WIFI and join your internet WIFI again. I thought the scanner can join my WIFI network and let my computer to use it but no, I have to join my computer to the WIFI coming from the scanner! It is a huge hassle! I need to scan the document and use my application on the internet but this scanner asks me to switch WIFI every time I scan a document and switch WIFI back to use my internet application. If I have 100 documents to scan and upload, for example to scan drivers licenses from 100 customers, I have to switch my WIFI 200 times. If the customers see that I am switching WIFI just to scan and upload their document, I will be asked why I am doing this for sure. This is insane!So at the end, you pay a premium for this WIFI and smartphone enabled scanner but it only works in wired mode. This product makes no sense whatsoever. You’d better just go buy the wired version instead if that works for you. I do not recommend this product.

I’m Not Impressed
For the price, I expected better from HP.First, the product arrived with a flat, completely dead battery. Even after being plugged into a charger, it would not turn on for the first 1/2 hour, after which it would turn off if the charger was disconnected. After a couple of hours it was still charging, so I went to bed. The next morning it was fully charged. This experience leads me to wonder about the health of the battery because I’ve never had such an experience with a new product. It was obviously new because all the seals were in place.Secondly. the initialization and operation are not intuitive, and the instructions are lacking in my opinion. After fooling around with setup for almost an hour, I finally got it to work. The software didn’t recognize the device through the USB connection , no matter what I tried. When I finally figured out that this uses a direct WIFI connection, and not a network connection, I was able to install and use it wirelessly.Finally, I put a test document in to scan. I found the software not as user-friendly and smooth to use as some other, better-designed, software is. After a few crumpled papers, I (sort of) learned to use this scanner- I’m just not that impressed.

It is function-rich for a portable scanner.
But at the same time, I am not impressed. I have to use their own proprietary software for best results rather than the software that I like. It is battery-operated and has built-in wifi. For $230, it is not cheap. This will be good for people who are on the go all the time. But for my own use, I would just use a regular home printer that can scan not just document but also pages of books, etc.
