Works surprisingly well. Good for fending off the opportunistic with a bit of security.
This isn’t going to keep out anyone who is determined. It’s mostly a novelty when it comes to security. But it does give something of an illusion of security and works surprisingly well for keeping out the little ones.At the current price of $40, it functions about like what you’d expect at that price-point. It does a decent job of fingerprint recognition, but it can be finicky. It sometimes takes a few times for it to read — sometimes not at all, but then when there’s power in the batteries, the card-fob and the code works. If all else fails, there’s always the physical key that works all the time.I didn’t try the app. I don’t think I need another app cluttering up my phone. The lock already has three ways to open it. I don’t need another one. I only wonder if opening with the app can be disabled — it allows for more codes and has a logging feature if you need that. But that’s overkill for the door to your storage closet.It can be switched for a left-side or right-side handle. The black is a little obtrusive looking for my taste — I’d like it if it were in a polished nickel color, but that’s just aesthetic preference.For the price, if you need a deterrent for your Air-BnB for example, it would be a good deal. It’ll keep out the honest folks from snooping. If you need anything for real security, you’re going to need to get something else.It’s not that it’s easy to unlock, it’s just not as difficult as it looks.Overall, though, a good value for an electronic lock with biometric, keycards, and lock-codes. Five stars.

Neat Product, Very Wide
Neat tool but struggles to fit on various regular size doors. Needs filler to fit on any exterior or interior doors in my home. Other than needing padding, it was extremely easy to install, is very sleek looking, and lasts a long time.

The fingerprint reader responded quickly and unlocked without delay. Setup was straightforward and did not take long. The knob turned easily and felt solid once installed. I liked having keyless access for everyday use. Battery performance has been steady so far. This lock added convenience without complicating entry.

Nice looking and functions well!
I ordered this lock for an interior door/owners closet on a short term rental that I own. It makes is so much easier when I have someone else clean the place between guests. The directions were clear and the quality of the lock was good. After I got it installed, working through setting up the app was so so. In the end, I was able to figure it out. I probably wouldn’t use this for an outside door because the key has a unique design which would make it difficult to copy. The fingerprint recognition worked well for me. I’d say it fails less than 10% of the time which is about par for this type of lock. I have a few other fingerprint locks and none of them are perfect. It sometimes takes a quick repositioning to get a proper read. Overall, I like the lock and the price point is decent.

Good dumb lock with key, does not function as a smart lock.
This lock has good build quality, installed in under 30 minutes. As a dumb lock, it works perfectly and looks good. Setting up the smart lock with the Tuya app is easy, I did it as a guest, I was able to program a PIN as well as added two fingers. This is where the lock failed to perform the most important task, upon successful authentication, the lock does not unlock, no matter what I tried, the outside portion of the lock never unlocks electronically.I suspect there is an electronic coupler that should have engage to allow the outside handle to engage with the lock, but that does not happen.
