Love the tracking feature!
This is a very smart spot light and it tracks you as you walk within it’s 210′ view area. It is even smart enough to have learned that our flag waving is not a reason to turn on. We’re very impressed. It works perfectly

not even usable as a moving spotlight without connecting it to the internet
The software for connecting to the internet is impossible to use and I’m pretty good at stuff like that and you cannot use it as just a moving Spotlight without connecting it to the internet

please do not waste your time as this product always fails to connect and is always offline. even if it does work the playback eventually stops working after a couple of months.

Gave this cam-light a try
There were only 2 reviews for this item when I decided to try it. They were both positive. I’ll be brief. The item appears to be high qualify, sturdy. The software is pretty much the same as the rest of the Chinese-made cams out there but the mobile app is decent. However, it was a nightmare setting this up. I downloaded the free app and tried to scan the barcode on the cam to detect the correct model and configure it. The barcode reader in the software does not work. Period. It just keeps erroring. The directions say to manually set the camera up by selecting the menu category “security cameras” however that menu item doesn’t exist in the software! After spending an hour fiddling I was able to get the unit to join my wifi network and once that happened it detected the correct model. I was pretty discouraged but the camera has very good quality and the flood light is bright for an area say 20 feet wide or so. The app software is a bit quirky and does not have a great interface but it is workable. The camera and light do follow you if your motion is detected. I wish it had manual controls – that is from my app I could pan and point the camera, but it apparently does not have that level of control. I also wish I could access the camera from my laptop vs only the mobile app, like many other brands allow. For the price this is pretty good. Unless or until they fix the mobile app, if you buy this and set it up, grant all permissions to the setup wizard (strip them back later) and try the wifi set up. You’ll have no success otherwise.

Incredible piece of hardware
I requested the Philex Robotic Security Light with Advanced Motion Tracking for my husband’s elderly parents who will be relocating to a new house soon. My husband said installation wasn’t all that difficult, once the location choice was resolved. We are talking about two 90-year-olds, here; nothing is simple. However, moving along, the light is a god-send and amazed my parents who never were anything close to adopting technology. They will leave this planet, never understanding or being able to manipulate a cell phone or personal computer with any efficiency. Bottom line, though, is that they love this security light that actually tracks humans across their yard.
