FABULOUS! Exactly what I was looking for after my original mount proved to be useless in hot sun. This new mount fits in my Audi, was super easy to install and holds really well-even in the sun! I’ve hit some serious bumps due to constant construction in my area, and it hasn’t budged!

Exactly what I was looking for!
This CarPlay mount eliminated a problem I had with my portable CarPlay screen. Several years ago, I invested in a Car and Driver Intellidash — a portable CarPlay unit. It works exactly like a factory CarPlay headunit, and because it is portable, I can move it from vehicle to vehicle, including rental cars. I make a lot of road trips, and CarPlay helps make the drive safer and more enjoyable. The hands-free texting and email options are a huge asset. When I bought my CarPlay screen, there were very few portable options to choose from. Today, there are dozens on the market, some much more affordable than the one I originally purchased.While I am very pleased with the Intellidash, finding a way to mount it in my truck wasn’t easy. It came with a mount that I rejected, because it involved pasting something to the dashboard. Not only did I want to avoid permanently altering the aesthetics of my truck’s interior, I also didn’t want to start adhering plastic disks to rental cars.I finally settled on modifying a cupholder phone mount to accept the CarPlay screen. This worked, but it involved a few compromises. While the Intellidash isn’t that much heavier than my iPhone, the screen tended to wobble on rough roads. The screen was also much lower than I would prefer. I always keep my eyes firmly on the road, but that means there are times when I can’t look down at the Intellidash screen. Finally, I had to sacrifice one of the two cupholders in my truck’s console, which was a problem if I had someone in the front with me on a road trip.I was sceptical of this suction mount when I first saw it. My previous experience with suction mounts wasn’t very satisfactory. I had a phone mount that I couldn’t trust to hold the phone in place. It was a hassle to watch my phone shake itself free and crash to the floorboard, mount and all. Then I would have to stop on the side of the road to retrieve the phone and put it back in place, hoping this time it would stay attached to the windshield.Despite my misgivings, I decided to give the 1Zero mount a chance. I figured I could return it if and when it failed. Surprise! My Intellidash remains in place even on the roughest roads. The screen itself doesn’t vibrate, making it simple to glance at the map to see what’s happening. So far, it has remained stuck in place on the windshield, even with below-freezing temperatures outside and warm defroster air hitting it from the inside. This thing has made me a believer!The mount fits the attachment slots on the Intellidash perfectly. Apparently, this is the de facto standard for CarPlay screens, because the tabs and slots slip in place exactly the way they should. While the mount plate itself is sturdy, the screen can be removed from the mount in seconds if required.The suction cup is oversized and features a lever that creates a vacuum, so the base firmly adheres to the windshield. I am still experimenting with finding the ideal location to hold the screen. In the pictures I have attached, the Intellidash is directly below the rearview mirror. This doesn’t obstruct my view, but I intend to shift it downward so the screen is almost touching the top of the dashboard. I may shift it to the left a little as well. Since the mount is not permanent, it can be relocated effortlessly. I’ll keep moving it until I find the location I feel most comfortable with.I am really happy with the 1Zero suction cup mount. I can’t wait for my next road trip!

Rock-solid mount for big screens
I’m using this mount with an iPad mini in a semi truck, and it’s been great. The suction cup locks onto the windshield and just does not budge, even with all the vibration and bouncing you get on the road. Once you get it positioned, it stays exactly where you put it.The gooseneck is extremely sturdy, which is a good thing for stability but also means it takes some muscle to adjust. This is not a flimsy, floppy mount at all. If you want something that can hold a heavier screen without wobbling all over the place, this one does the job and feels like it will last.
