We have had one of these for a while, and we use it constantly. Literally every single day. With pets and kids, it’s really convenient to have a handheld vacuum instead of using brooms or getting out a big vacuum. A couple of weeks ago the battery started going, where it would shut itself off after a minute. I decided it was time to replace it, so I went back in my orders and found out that I had bought it more than 8 years ago. And this was 8 years of hard use. I ordered the exact same model again, because it’s been so reliable for so long. Yeah, it’s loud. But it has a long battery life and will suck up pretty much anything, and we haven’t had any issues with it for all these years. I hope the new one lasts as long as the last.

Works as expected
Suction-not great as an only vacuum. Will pick up large debris. Must be flush to the floor/furniature to be effective. Suction with brush is unimpressive. Not great for dusting blinds. Ok for dusting shelves. Will get some pet hair (depending on carpet /fabric)Battery – runs 10-15mins on a full charge. Long enough to do touch up vacuuming throughout house, clean up messes (food “crumbs” from kids, litter, garbage), or clean furniature + under furniture. From what I found, this is about what you should expect from hand-helds.Weight- light enough for me, but I do have to switch arms back and forth as I get muscle fatigue. However, I’m disabled. It is a little too heavy for my 5yo to use.Maneuverability-it can be difficult to do the back and forth motion, as it gets sick on the carpet. If suction was better it wouldn’t have to be pushed down to create a seal for suction. Also, the extention allows you to reach a decent distance beneath furniature, but the vacuum will not fit under most furniature (not even my raised bed), and getting in tight spaces is limited by that. Turning the nossle doesn’t create much more space.Emptying- it is easy to empty small debri/dust. For large debris and hair is usually necessary to take off the bowl.Ease of use – it is very easy to extend/replace the nossle, it locks securely out and does not slide back in unless you manually do it, and the brush is easy to put into place. The nossle comes off and goes back into place easily. The bowl comes off easily.Charging – easy to place on charger, charges fast, holds a charge while not in use, stops charging once full charge is reached. However, my kids are constantly knocking it off the charger.Durability – it’s been knocked off its charger many times and taken no damage. It’s sucked up some pretty massive stuff and had no issues.Filters – I love that the filters are easily accessible and easily cleaned. The filters are not great at stopping dust from being pushed out into the air. Empty it before you turn it on every time and it’s not an issue. I had actual clouds.Price – well priced for the qualityOverall – I am very happy with this product as it is priced. It does the job I wanted it to do (save my back from multiple daily vacuums, clean up kid messes, reduce allergens by making it easy to keep under furniature vacuumed, easily vacuum furniature). The only thing it doesn’t do from my wish list is clean blinds and it’s not as easy to use as i was hoping, which means it’s harder on my body to use than I wanted it to be. Still, I would repeat my decision. I think if they put tiny wheels on the tip, creating a cm gap, that it would be much easier to use.

So Far, So Good!
I paid full listing price on Amazon for this vacuum and only just received it a few days ago, so hopefully this review isn’t premature. I was previously using a corded portable vacuum that I received as a gift which I used to clean messes in my car. Although I’m grateful for that thoughtful gift, that vacuum consistently failed to pick up small debris leaving me to either make SEVERAL passes over the same areas or simply picking up the debris by hand (aka counterproductive). I researched several vacuums on the web before committing and, while none are surefire perfect, this one seemed to come pretty close without having to sell a kidney on the black market to afford it *cough* Dyson *cough*. (My first choice was the Black+Decker BDH2000PL, but there are just too many reports of the canister door breaking off essentially rendering that vacuum useless.)This vacuum picked up everything that my previous vacuum failed to remove just the day prior. My car is not huge, but my old vacuum would take maybe 5-10 minutes or so of use to clean out my vehicle. When I used this Black+Decker for the first time, I had the job done in about 2-3 minutes! Others have mentioned that this vacuum is loud, but I honestly can’t tell a difference between this one and my old portable vacuum. The canister is very easy to empty and doesn’t seem to be overly prone to breakage. Lastly, I’ve read other reviews that mention the crevice tool slides back into the vacuum during use. However, if you fully extend the crevice tool until it clicks/locks into place, that wouldn’t be an issue. I used the crevice tool to vacuum the tighter spaces in my car and did not experience it receding back into the vacuum in the middle of things. In summary:PROS:- Very powerful and effective (at least compared to my previous vacuum)- Easy to empty/clean- Attractive and masculine design- Great price with little compromise- The neck of the vacuum rotates and locks into multiple positions giving the user handling options.CONS:- A bit more weighty than I expected it to be. While this is not an issue for me personally, I feel it’s worth mentioning because it is noticeably heavier than my previous vacuum (BTW which was corded and did not have a battery). If you intend to vacuum for 20-30 minutes at a time, plan for ambidexterity.- The included instructions address the use of a wall mount for this vacuum, however there is no actual wall mount included with this unit. (Although, I’m not really sure how practical a wall mount would be since there’s a charging base that doubles as storage. If there was a CHARGING wall mount made for this vacuum, then I definitely would have been ranting for not receiving one!)- There is a gap between the mouth of the vacuum and the brush tool (when used) so I’m not all that certain of the brush’s effectiveness. If anything, it’s best used to agitate debris that may be stuck or wedged in something.

Nice little vacuum but no British plug or adapter? For that it gets a 3* review and not a 4*. Supplier must do better. Clearly know I live in the UK from the delivery address.
