Great value and quick powerful clean ups.
I bought the updated dark model. I’ve only had this vacuum for a month but after the first use I loved the suction power and easiness of the rechargeable base. I read a lot of reviews about the noise level but it isn’t leaf blower loud, just dyson cordless vacuum loud.I mainly use it to vacuum around my litter box and it works better than my Dyson to pick it up, instead of shooting it allover.It’s portable, not too small or large and easy to empty.I’d say it’s definitely worth the price for quick clean ups in small areas or high chair crumbs.

Perfect and powerful quick pick em up on the floor.If you have little ones, kids, grandkids, some adults that eat like toddlers, lol, then this IS “thee” perfect home tool. I love the extension and I love the bight light.Cleaning out the tank and filter is a snap!This is poiticely, “thee” go to gift for anyone or even as a quick car seat or car floor clean up, it’ll do the trick in a jif!I sure do recommend this handy quite dandy home tool!

Absolutely LOVING this dustbuster!!!
I was searching for a new dustbuster for a LONG time to replace my old one. I had the Black+Decker Platinum 20V for many years but the battery was simply not holding up any more, and would only last about 1-2 minutes at a time for a really quick clean-up. I loved the design and sparkly gunmetal color of my model so I went back to B+D to search for a new one. I was really disappointed to find that I really didn’t like the designs of most of the newer models. Most of them were black or white and boxy looking, and not something I’d want to keep in my living room – where my boys love to hang out and eat. The nicer colors though were much less powerful than the 20v I had, and I didn’t want to give up on that either. (I considered the purple one for pets even though we don’t have any, but really didn’t need the pet hair attachment and didn’t feel like paying extra for something I wouldn’t use.) I searched e-bay and everywhere online to just to replace mine with the exact same model but could no longer find it anywhere. So I continued using my old one in short bursts until it just became impossible and I did a new search once again on Amazon. This time I found this newer model and I really liked it. It wasn’t solid black like so many others and would blend in nicely on it’s standing charging base- another feature I was looking for- at the edge of my living room for easy access. I was a bit concerned that this too was a lower voltage- only 12v to my old 20v, but as I researched it more I learned that it was made more efficiently now so that it didn’t require as much power to do the job. It was also lighter weight which would require less power to make it more efficient. The finishing touch was the cool LED light it came with, so I finally took the plunge. I’ve been meaning to write a review ever since! This machine really DOES THE JOB!! I don’t miss the 20V power AT ALL. And it’s so much lighter weight it’s a breeze to use! I honestly didn’t realize just how useful the LED light would really be when vaccuming darker lit areas- a really great feature! It’s so easy to use, even my boys enjoy using it now lol. The lighter weight really makes a difference! Oh, and cleaning the dustbowl and filter is also super easy- much more so than my old one. Thank you Black+Decker for finally creating a new Dustbuster that is both easy to use and has a NICE DESIGN and color too!

Bad Charging Cord Storage Design for a Good Hand Vacuum
It was time for a new handheld vacuum. Our previous one, a pet version, even though we don’t have pets, was a solid choice for the past three years or so. It had reached the end of its useful life and no longer was picking up what it needed to. When I started looking for a replacement I was happy to see this true “Dustbuster” brand by Black & Decker available for a reasonable price.Once it arrived and we got it unpacked and plugged in for its initial charge a few inconveniences revealed themselves. While it’s a nice idea to have a stand to hold the vac upright for charging and storage, the base was poorly thought out. The charging cord is hard-wired, which is okay, but there aren’t any clips to hold the cord or the plug. So when you’re done charging the cord and plug go where, exactly? Just sloppily hanging out on the floor? Bad design.The base could have been formed to have a place to wind up the cord and store it and the plug on the underside of itself. That would be a much neater solution. As it is, I took the twist tie that the cord originally came secured with and tied it up that way, but that’s not a long term plan.As far as the suction, speed, and effectiveness, so far, so good. I do like the light feature to help illuminate the dust that might be easy to miss otherwise. It didn’t seem to do a great job of cleaning baseboards or transition thresholds of hardwood. I will try using the flip-down attached brush to see if that helps.It’s not very compact. Having it stand up-right is a good idea, but I haven’t figured out the best place to store it without it taking up a lot of visual space and yet still being handy to use.

Must-have for RV life
This is easily my favorite cleaning tool in the RV. It’s lightweight, has great suction, and makes quick cleanups so easy—especially with dogs and small spaces. The attachments are super handy for getting into tight spots, and it holds a charge well. If you’re in an RV or just want something convenient, this is a must-have!

This is a solid handheld vac, but…
This is a solid hand vac, but the suction could be bit stronger. It still picks up, but with a B&D vac, I would have expected a more powerful suction. The battery charge lasts about 30 minutes. This doesn’t mean that it “shuts off” at 30 minutes, it just begins to slow down. I like the little brush attachment that is attached to the vac. There is no way to lose it. There is a second attachment, a wand, that is stored on the battery charger base. Overall, this is a good handheld vacuum, I just wish the suction was a tad stronger and the battery lasted a little longer.
