How to connect smart plug?
1. Download the Smart Life App and register for an account.
2. Power on the plug and ensure that the indicator is flashing.
3. The Smart Life App will automatically detect the plug.
4. Follow the prompts to complete the connection process.
How do I use the plug to work with third-party voice assistants?
1. Open the Smart Life App and connect your plug.
2. In the Smart Life App, go to “Me” > “Third-Party Services”, and select Alexa/Google.
3. Or, open the Alexa App, go to “Skills & Games”, search for “Smart Life”, and enable the skill.
My plug is connected to Smart Life, but Alexa still doesn’t work. What should I do?
1. Make sure your Alexa device and smart plug are on the same 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
2. Confirm that the Smart Life skill is enabled in the Alexa App and properly linked.
3. Try saying “Alexa, discover devices” to refresh the connection.
Why can’t the smart plug connect to Wi-Fi?
Make sure your phone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network, as the SimpleHut Smart Plug does not support 5GHz networks. Keep the plug close to your router and ensure the indicator light is blinking rapidly before pairing.
How do I reset the smart plug?
Press and hold the power button for about 5 seconds until the indicator light starts blinking rapidly. This means the plug has entered pairing mode and can be connected again through the Smart Life app.

Easy to setup smart plugs
At around $10 each, these smart plugs are a good deal for someone looking to add a little smarts to one of their outlets. The plugs themselves are nicely sized so as not to be overly large and cumbersome. They’re easy to pair up to the app and control via either the Alexa skill or just using the smartphone app itself (Smart Life is the app I used). I’ve had zero issues with them disconnecting from my Wi-Fi, and it connected right away to my 2.4GHz/5GHz single SSID network, meaning it didn’t have any issues connecting to just the 2.4GHz band, which is something some smart devices struggle with.These smart plugs also offer some nice features, specifically the ability to see power usage over time, which is often reserved for more expensive plugs. The only thing that would kick this up to a 6 out of 5-star rating would be Apple HomeKit integration; however, given the price, I knew that wouldn’t be realistic. Overall, zero complaints; these work well and were really easy to set up and get added to my existing smart home ecosystem.

It works most of the time. Easy to install. Like the convenience of turning lights on in the dark.HintI did use ChatGPT, and learned it works if u plug into wall while installing ,and then after done installing plug into a power strip.

Easy setup and solid performance
These smart plugs have been solid. They’re compact and don’t block up extra space on the outlet, which I really like. Setup was super easy using the Smart Life app, no hiccups connecting them and no issues with power once they were up and running. Everything paired quickly and worked right away.I’ve been using them for some of my Christmas decorations and they’ve been reliable the whole time. Scheduling works exactly as expected, and it’s been nice not having to think about turning things on and off manually. The small LED that shows the status is also a nice touch since you can tell at a glance whether it’s on or off.Overall, they work exactly as intended. No connection drops, no weird behavior, just simple and dependable. For a 2 pack, it’s a good value and an easy recommendation.
