Note: It is not compatible with the original eufy Wi-Fi Chime (T8020), eufy Chime (T8740/T8742), or Apple HomeKit.
Is Video Doorbell C31 compatible with HomeBase 3?
Yes, it is compatible with HomeBase 3. This setup provides expandable local storage, enhanced AI functionality, cross-device features, and more.
Why is my doorbell not working properly after binding?
Ensure you have the latest app (version 5.0.22 or above) and check if the doorbell has received the latest software update.
Will Video Doorbell C31 support pre-record and 24/7 recording? Will my existing chime still work?
Yes, C31 supports pre-record and 24/7 recording functions when powered by a 16-24V transformer (bypass chime). 24/7 recording is unavailable with HB2/Minibase, so use Solo or connect it to HB3 to enable this feature.
Why does my doorbell still show low battery or a decrease in battery level even after being wired?
Using Existing Chime charges the doorbell slowly (6-7 days). High foot or vehicle traffic may still drain the battery. We recommend switching to “Bypass Existing Chime” mode.

Fantastic Camera and Easy Set Up
This was a great value for the price of the doorbell. Bought because it can be wired to existing wire, I did change the transformer to make sure it was the correct amount of power. The camera itself and the app were easy to set up, and install, I liked it came with a wedge to tilt the camera to get more view of the doorway. Added the 128Gb sd card to capture video and added the Eufy Door chime unit as well. For no cloud service it works well capturing every delivery and every cat that strolls by, very happy with purchase adding one to our other home too.

Fantastic Doorbell Camera – No Fees, Total Peace of Mind!
I recently installed eufy doorbell security camera. From unboxing to setup, everything was smooth and user-friendly. The video quality is outstanding.One of my favorite features is the two-way audio, which allows me to communicate with visitors (or deter unwanted ones) from anywhere via my smartphone. The live feed and recordings are easily accessible through the app, which is intuitive and reliable.One of the biggest advantages is that there’s no monthly subscription required. All recordings are stored locally and are fully accessible through the Eufy app, which is super easy to use. I can review motion-triggered events anytime, anywhere, without worrying about hidden fees or cloud storage costs.It did not come with Micro sdxc Card. I purchased 128GB(the max that you can install).

Product not working/ Support is terrible
Let me say up front that I generally like Eufy products, but this one has not worked right for a while. I am going around in circles with their support trying to get it addressed and they are not very timely in their responses. They keep asking for the same information over again, information I have already provided to another representative. I have bought a number of their products but will start looking for another company.As an update, I got this response from Eufy: “Our engineering team has now completed a detailed analysis of your device logs and the information you provided. Based on their findings, they confirmed that the issue you are experiencing is related to a known streaming/display issue present in the current firmware version. The engineering team has already identified this behavior and is actively working on an optimization in the upcoming firmware release. This improvement will be included in version 6.0.20, which focuses on enhancing video streaming stability and overall performance. The release is currently expected around the end of April.”So Eufy expects me to use a security product that works sometimes. I am hoping that any intruders to my home only come when the camera is working.

Reliable and requires no subscription
We purchased this to replace another popular brand doorbell camera which required a subscription to access historical videos. Eufy is far better, always reliable, and allows full access to the videos it records. We do have the other eufy smart cameras and a hub, so we already have been bought into the ecosystem, but we’ve been very happy with our purchase so far.The only negative I’ve experienced is the AI not being as “smart” as I’d like. It’s supposed to recognize specific people and not alert you in their presence, but it cannot recognize my wife or I from day to day. On the days it does, it logs us as being recognized, but still alerts us.

My favorite door bell camera
I really love this doorbell camera. I replaced my broken RING bell and it was totally easy to set up. The fact that it’s not hooked into a network of cameras and just operates locally on your home wifi makes me feel good. The quality of the camera is excellent and it integrated with my physical bell without issue. Highly recommended.

Installatiion easy, video quality excellent, no subscription needed
Installation and setup with my existing Homebase 3 was quick and easy. Video quality is very good and the doorbell function works perfectly. Really appreciate the ability to store video on the Homebase and not having to pay for a subscription to review my own video footage.

Ugly red light ruins it
It functions well for my needs. Battery power severely limits usefulness, assume you’ll want to wire it. It’s an ugly rectangle box with no style to accommodate batteries, so they should make a smaller more attractive one with no battery space to consider. But I can get past that.One problem I don’t like at all, is the LED ring stays lit up red ALL the time. It looks so annoying at night. A simple software update could remedy this! Unfortunately this is the only one I can find that is HomeKit enabled and saves to an SD card, else I would replace it for this reason alone.
