    Compact but works great!
I love this height adjustable standing desk. It isn’t big so using a laptop or just one monitor with a keyboard and mouse is about all it will hold. But think outside the box and this can also be used for anything you want to work on while standing. You can repair things. craft, paint items, etc. Standing while working is great for the circulation. The desk comes fully assembled from the box. The top is a thick wood like material with black laminate and the frame is metal. There is a handle with a knob on the side that you push down to move the top up and down. It is extremely easy to use and once you lock it in place, it doesn’t go down on its own. You can place it at many heights so it’s versatile for people of different heights. It is sturdy and a great quality. The price is in line with others out there, so I feel it’s a good value. I would recommend it for anyone needing a smaller set up for work or other projects.

Heavy and study – but some problems
I have mixed feelings about this portable desk workstation. It is, indeed, heavy duty and metal construction. I also love that it is ready to use right out of the box. You only need unpack it. Raising the table is easy, also. But here’s what bothers me about it: It is tricky indeed to get it to lower. You actually have to simultaneously hold the handle down and lift up slightly first and then the table will release and lower. I think it’s something takes getting used to. However, what really surprised me is that there is no lock or latch that keeps the table support mechanism from reopening, so when you go to transport it, the thing unfolds on you. I searched all over the bottom, sure there had to be a way to lock the “legs” in place to keep it from unfolding, but I couldn’t locate anything and there’s nothing in the instructions about it. One of my pet peeves is that the instructions appear to have been run through a translator, clearly originally written in a language other than English. Phrases such as “Don’t use it to overweight” and “When placing down…”I give it 4 stars for its sturdiness and heavy duty construction, but when you raise it too high and want to adjust the height levels to make it lower, it is tricky to do; also, the fact that it can unfold on you so easily does concern me.

Avoid if you’re around six feet (~183 cm) tall. A mixed bag.
First Impressions:The packaging was larger than I expected. Then again, given what this is I should’ve expected such. Nothing special about it but it was adequate.Pros:Easy enough to use and the manual is comprehensible. It also fits my laptop with attached cooling fan, and even my comparatively large Elecom Huge. At least for me, it’s also not that loud when I adjust it. I have limited space in which to work so this being able to fold down on itself and be stored away, as well as expand space on an existing desk I have, is a huge plus.Cons:A minor one but it seems to be a fingerprint magnet. That being said, as it’ll be used and covered a lot of the time this isn’t an issue for me but some might want to know that.I noted in one of the photos that part of the table isn’t as “closed” as the other. I think that might make the adjustable nature somewhat less consistent on the affected side but could be wrong. For utility, it’s somewhat odd to adjust the height as you have to pull down on the handle on the side to both lower and raise it. Doable but it takes some getting used to. While I’ve only used it for a few days (but a few hours each of those days) it’s worked so far.I’m not quite six feet (~ 183 cm) tall and while this doesn’t allow me to not have to be somewhat awkward while standing it’s not bad at all for the price. I bought a plastic laptop bed tray table (adjustable) sold by Nearpow for around $44 back in 2019. I still have it as well.Future Considerations:As previously said, I do wonder about longevity but that’ll come out in the wash.Overall rating: 3/5Update: About a week in with regular use with a laptop and some accessories, adjusting this, specifically lowering it, isn’t user friendly. There’s not much feedback you get besides an occasional loud clank.. I find myself having to pull at both sides to make sure it’s seated. In this vein, as someone who’s just under six feet (~183 cm) tall, on the highest setting I still have to look down sharply so end up lowering it and sitting down. This undoes the standing desk intent but does improve posture as I type more upright rather than slouched over so I guess that’s a wash. While this development feels like it might lean more towards a 2.5 it’s still okay, just less than what I expected. I’m not sure for which height range this would actually be a standing desk alternative but if you’re my height or taller, I’d pass on this. Although using it on a desk/counter that’s around 38 inches (~ 97 cm) would mitigate the utility con, but who’s gonna drag this around to do such when lighter alternatives exist?Disclaimer:I did get this for free in exchange for a review.

Really nice item with multiple uses, built well and at a very good price
So far this seems like a pretty great item. It is made well, out of good materials. It is an out-of-the-box item with no assembly. There is an instruction page for use, which isn’t in the best English, but does its job. (Sometimes you don’t get any instructions at all.) It seems pretty sturdy. And the price is great! Google these and nothing is anywhere near this price. I saw several that looked almost identical at $100 minimum. I can see this being handy in different places in the house. I will first be using it as a plant stand, to get some seedlings up closer to the window, and my husband wants to put it on his tool bench for close work. One user noted that you can’t lock it in a position; if you then pick it up, the legs kind of fall/move out to their longest position. This is somewhat true and is not addressed on the instruction sheet. However, upon working with it, it seems to hold the legs in position if you hold UP the switch handle, rather than down (which is what you do for any other adjustment). I don’t know if that is what the creators intended, but that seemed to work for me. Generally, though, that is not something that concerns me. If I put it at a given height I will be using it at that height for a while, and not moving it around a lot. So for this price and the materials and build of the item, I think it’s a good buy and a decent product.

    Cheaply made
I understand why this was so “cheap”. Putting it up was east enough. However after I did I was trying to put it down. I used the handle as stated in directions and it still broke. The whole bolt of the handle broke out of the top desk part.
