Flawed but useful
This worked well enough for a few comparative tension tests I needed to make, and looks to be usable in the days ahead. For this price, that’s amazing. But I take off a star because the backlight makes the display *harder* to read. I made comparative measurements of less than a pound without any problems.

Practice with it to get good, usable results
Thought about taking off a star because it takes a bit of wrangling for accuracy until you get used to it. Instead, know that it’s best to hold it by the actual handle, rather than the body. Also, don’t be afraid to use the buttons to re-tare so long as the item is limp on the hanger. It is as accurate as I need — given the reasonable cost and convenient size.I use this mostly in the health food store to weigh bulk items in bags by the gram, like whole grain berries, cereals, etc, as the scales in the stores are terrible or in ounces only. I also got one for my grandson for fish.

Tare function needs work, probably fine for fish though
I bought this to weigh hay in hay nets. Initially it seemed sufficient, but I quickly discovered the tare function ‘locks’ automatically when you are adding weight or moving things around. What good is tare if you can’t tare then add something to the scale? The instructions say to press the power button to ‘unlock’ the scale after it locks. Well.. the power button shuts it off so now you’re back to square one. What in the world… I would be happier if it just wouldn’t lock in the first place but after suffering with it for a week, I’m sending it back.
