The Monoprice CSW‑8 is an 8” 100W powered compact subwoofer that is small enough to not dominate the room and still has ample bass output. This diminutive, ported subwoofer can be placed anywhere in your room without taking up a lot of square footage—in the corner, beside your sofa or TV stand—and not have it dominate your décor. Hook-up is a breeze through the RCA inputs or high-level speaker inputs and easily set your output with the volume, crossover, and phase controls. Fortunately, you will not have to skimp on bass output, as the CSW‑8 has been specifically engineered to take advantage of its compact enclosure.

    Big sound, small package
I bought this to add some bass to a couple of PC desktop speakers (Drop BMR1 Nearfield Monitors). Those monitors sound nice, but lack low end. This Monoprice sub did an admirable job of fulfilling that need. Once I got it dialed in using some audio tweaking tools on YouTube, it blended in quite nicely For a couple of 8″ subs in a small-ish ported enclosure, they got surprisingly low and loud. Last but not least, it is a decent fit under my computer desk. Highly recommended!

    8” Boombox
For the money this subwoofer is worth the cost and by the way it sounds it makes the price that much better. Buttons are metal and work with a firm audible click when needed to make any adjustments.

    Solid Bass for the cost
It is not as heavy as expected but manages to put out some solid pleasing bass. I put in the back of a Kia EV6 electric car and plugged it into the 2000 watt 110 volt outlet under the back seat. Think I will add an Isobar Tripp -Lite surge suppressor.

I bought two it was so good
So good I bought a second for a different room. I had a better and more expensive one, but it was too big and loud for general listening/not a party. This one is easier to get a more balanced experience.

    Dead in under a year
The sub sounded okay when it worked. 6 months in, it started producing no sound. Tried several rca cables and tested with other head units. I reached out to the company and received no response. So I looked inside to check the fuse. It was still good. Tested the speaker, it was fine. Everything is gettikg power. At this point I’m guessing the amp is toast. The solder job on the board looks like a 6 year old did it blindfolded. So, I set it aside for a few days. Came back and it was magically working again. Worked for about another month and it’s doing the same thing. Buy something else. Going cheap comes with a headache.

    Very versatile subwoofer
I had been looking for a compact subwoofer to fit inside my entertainment stand, which I know might not be everyone’s preferred sub placement, but my space is limited regardless. Most of the options I found that would fit were cube shaped 6-6.5″ drivers and I wanted a little more punch. Turning this unit on its side so the driver is down firing made it fit perfectly. I added rubber feet + foam pads to the included feet which gives it nearly an inch of clearance. The sound fills in the low end of my Kanto Yu speakers perfectly, and can shake the floor at higher volumes without noticable distortion. I had to turn the volume knob a little higher than expected to get things audible. The auto power feature works perfectly. Also I did not see it mentioned on any product pages but this did come with a stereo RCA cable.I highly recommend this subwoofer! I think it would pair great with any set of bookshelf monitors with a sub out. If you have beefier speakers I’m sure the 10″ version is even better.

    Boom for the buck
For the price, it works very well paired with my 10 year old Vizio sound bar that I use as my office computer speaker. Now I have some bass to go with the music.
