Great 4K resolution, easy setup, floodlights are STRONG!
I had no security cameras in the backyard, and a very weak single-bulb porchlight that came with the house when I bought it that was essentially useless for lighting up anything more than a foot away from the light itself. When I saw Ring put out a 4K floodlight cam I pulled the trigger.Installation was simple, remove old light fixture, replace cross mounting bracket bar with the one included with the Ring camera, and re-hook everything back up (pictures included of original porch light and Ring Floodlight Cam mounted in same spot).I’ve included three pictures I screenshotted from the phone app, one daylight, one nighttime (dark) and one nighttime with floodlights on… as you can see, with the floodlights on, it’s almost as bright as my daytime picture! As it’s a Ring camera, I was also able to double my floodlights as an easily turned-on backyard light using Alexa. Simply use the Ring app (first) to create a light group for the floodlight, then go into the Alexa app and create a group (backyard for me) then I was able to add the floodlight to the Alexa app backyard group and now can say “Alexa, turn on the backyard light” and it works great (turn off, works as well of course). Also, as with all Ring cameras you can also “Alexa, show Backyard Cam” and it will show the livefeed on your FireTV.Overall, great camera, great floodlight, and seemless integration with Alexa. 5-stars!

Worth it, especially with the AI features
It was a bit pricey, but works pretty well and the quality of the picture was really good. I like the new AI feature too.

Easy to install & connect to your WiFi.
The Ring Floodlight Cam Pro is a perfect size which was mounted above the garage. It was very easy to install, connect to the Wi-Fi and the camera quality is crystal clear. I absolutely love this product.

$1K invest in Ring flood light camar & all I wound up with, was, NO VIDEO, NO SUPPORT
I have 7 ring flood light camera and 4 Wi-Fi range extender to the cost of about $!K. I pay for a year’s subscription of video archiving. The last flood light camera I purchased was their new 4K floodlight camara for $279. It was plagued with software problem but I finally got it working. Because it was a new camera added to my account, it came up as a 30-day free trial of the ring video app. I call the Ring team (which takes about 30 minutes to get a representative) and they told me that when the trial ended it would automatically roll over to my yearly subscription. When the new flood cameras 30-day trial ended, all my cameras when off line. I call Ring and again waited about 30 minutes to get a representative. They told me it was just coincidental that the cameras when off line and the same time the 30-day trial period ended, for the new 4K flood camara. They told me it was because I had a 2 gig Wi-Fi and that I needed to call my Wi-Fi service to up it to 2.4 gig and everything would be fine. So, I had the Wi-Fi changed to 2.4 gig. Camaras still off line. Called Ring again ( on hold for about 30 minutes). I was told my Wi-Fi signal was to week. I told them my cameras were working fine up to my trial period ending for the new 4K flood camera. They told me that the signal was to week and that I needed Wi-Fi rang extenders. I told them that I already had 4 range extenders. They told me that each flood cam needed a range extender within 10 feet of the flood cam. I took an extender, put it on an extension cord and held within 1 foot of the flood cam. Rebooted it and still no camera. They now said it was because my Wi-Fi pass word was not being recognized. I went through each camera, reset the password and still, to this day all my cameras are off line. MY ADVICE, IF YOU’RE GOING TO SPEND GOOD MONEY FOR SECURITY CAMERAS, PAY A LITTLE MORE AND GO WITH A COMPANY THAT OFFER ONSITE TECH SUPPORT.

The Ring Floodlight Cam pro 4K Review: Bold Lights, but with only Slightly improved Clarity
Let me start by saying—if you already own the first-generation model, I wouldn’t recommend upgrading. The jump from 2K to 4K sounds impressive on paper, but in real use, the difference is minimal. I tested this by zooming in on license plates, and they were just as hard to read as they were with the original Ring Pro camera. The picture quality seems at times pixelated and more blurry than the first generation. The motion detection on this one doesn’t capture motion as good as the first generation. These things are very disappointing as many of us here upgraded and feel let down. Hopefully this will improve with a software update. The colors also look more muted compared to the first generation! That said, if you don’t already have the previous version, this is still a solid buy. I replaced two first-generation Ring Floodlight Pros with this new 4K version, and both performed exactly the same—so it’s not a case of a defective unit. In short, it’s a great camera if you’re new to the lineup, but not worth the upgrade if you already own the older model. If you want to keep an eye on your property and make sure nothing goes unseen, Ring’s Floodlight Cam 4K might be exactly what you need. It’s Ring’s most advanced floodlight camera yet — combining powerful lights, radar-powered motion detection, and crystal-clear 4K video to help you protect big outdoor spaces like your driveway, backyard, or property line.See Everything in Stunning 4KThe standout feature here is Retinal 4K, Ring’s new ultra-high-resolution video technology. The difference is instantly noticeable — everything looks sharper, brighter, and more detailed. You can even zoom in up to 10x to catch important details like faces, license plates, or packages at a distance. What’s great is that the image quality doesn’t drop off at night or in low light. Ring’s processing keeps colors accurate and images crisp no matter the time of day.Smarter Motion AlertsWith 3D Motion Detection, the camera uses radar to track movement more precisely than ever before. You can fine-tune your motion zones so you only get alerts for what matters — like someone approaching your door or car — instead of every little movement from passing cars or pets.Bright, Adjustable FloodlightsThe dual motion-activated floodlights are seriously bright — up to 2000 lumens bright. They light up wide areas of your yard, which not only helps the camera see better but also discourages unwanted visitors. You can even adjust the brightness anywhere from 200 to 2000 lumens, depending on how much light you want.Color in the DarkEven in near-dark conditions, the Low-Light Sight feature lets you see in full color instead of the usual grainy black and white. It’s a small detail that makes a big difference when you’re trying to identify what’s happening at night.Talk and Listen in Real TimeThanks to Live View and Two-Way Talk with Audio+, you can see and speak to anyone on your property right from your phone. Whether it’s a delivery driver or a surprise visitor, the improved sound quality makes conversations clear and natural.AI (artificial intelligence) brings some useful featuresRing’s latest AI upgrades go beyond sharper vision to create smarter, more helpful devices. With Alexa+ Greetings, Alexa becomes a virtual door attendant—handling solicitors, managing deliveries, and keeping you informed of who’s at your door. The new Familiar Faces feature recognizes known individuals, reducing unnecessary alerts and adding personalized context to your Ring notifications and video history. And with Search Party for dogs, Ring uses AI and community power to help reunite lost pets by scanning nearby cameras for matches—all while giving users full control over their privacy.⸻Final ThoughtsThe Ring Floodlight Cam 4K takes everything people already love about Ring cameras and turns it up a notch. The 4K video is incredibly sharp, the motion alerts are smarter, and the floodlights are powerful enough to light up almost any outdoor spaceIf you’re looking for peace of mind and want to capture every detail around your home — day or night — this is one of the best floodlight cameras you can buy right now!
