The unit functions as advertised
The phone has to be positioned precisely to be charged. Some easier means of aligning the phone should be incorporated into the design.I made a wooden frame that goes around the charger. My phone rests in the upper rectangular part of the frame such that it aligns with the charger unit and charging commences. Without this, I had to fiddle with the phone to get it aligned properly to charge.

Only received this wireless charging pad today, box contained the pad, micro USB cable and plug. Charging pad looks nice, not as heavy as I was expecting but had a good rubber pad on the base that stops the pad sliding about. Charging the phone is straightforward, place the phone on top of the pad, has a rubber ring that stops the phone from sliding and keeps in just clear of the inductive charging pad. My phone is in an Otterbox strada series flip case, the fast charge is not hindered by it although I do have to get the phone positioned absolutely central with the pad, this isn’t a problem once you are use to it. I haven’t tried charging the phone out of the case so don’t know if their is more wiggle room if the phone isn’t alighted just right. A blue led light to the lower edge of the charging pad confirms the phone is charging and a green light when charged. From 77% to 100% took about 35 minutes with the fan in the pad running until about 99% when I suspect it trickle charges until fully charges. The fan isn’t that loud however if you are thinking of having this operating in your bedroom when you want to sleep you might want to re-think it. The pad and the phone becomes warm to the touch when fast charging but not particularly hot. You can opt to switch off fast wireless charging under “Advanced Setting”. So far I am happy.

Good for charging your phone wirelessly, however it is not the most quiet with having a fan built into the base to keep it cool. If you have it upstairs you can hear it in your bedroom. Also has a blue light on it to show when it is charging your phone. However it’s very bright and lights up a dark room easily so best keep it out of where you sleep or cover the light over with some black tape. Not ideal but works non the less. Overall a good fast charger with a few niggles. For the price you could probably find an equally good fast charger that is quieter and a less bright activity light.

If your phone connector ever gets damaged, this is a brilliant solution. Charges quickly and effectiveness doesn’t seem to differ from a cable charge. Highly recommended.
