My Shelly Pro 3EM fails to connect. What should I do?
Make sure to you are entering correctly the SSID name and password. Upper/lowercases must be respected. Make sure to allow all permissions for the app, including precise location. For further support, use support.shelly.cloud
How do I install Shelly Pro 3EM?
All Shelly Pro devices are DIN-mountable inside the breaker box. Check the wiring diagram in our User & Safety guide or see our installation video for further support.
My Shelly Pro 3EM shows incorrect/inaccurate readings. What should I do?
Wrong measurements are usually due to incorrect wiring. Check that CT transformers are properly positioned, each phase is connected to the correct port, and each CT matches the right phase and device port.
Does Shelly Pro 3EM require a neutral wire?
Yes, a neutral wire is mandatory.
Can I use 50A clamp for Shelly Pro 3EM?
No, you can only use Shelly Pro 3EM with 120 A CTs and each transformer is calibrated for the specific device port. We do not recommend using different brands as it can result in wrong measurements.

Pro level current meter at a bargain price!
Fantastic current meter! The bonus is built in Ethernet! Small size will fit in tight spaces and easy install.Great function, except for some reason data download is not working right. There is also connection point for 1 more CT, but last I checked it is not sold separately. AND I wish there was short piece of DIN rail in box.

Great for consumption monitoring
I used this to pair with my solar installation. I found some open source software that I modified to emulate a Fronius Smart Meter so it polls this Shelly Pro 3EM to get total consumption and that data is stored alongside my production data. It was very easy to install, and the API/etc was very easy to work with to get the data I needed. I was impressed.

For US Panels, look elsewhere
In the US you have better options. Though I love the software. If they created a product that worked better in US panels I would buy it.The main issue is that you need to run wires from the panel to a DIN box outside the panel. Maybe if a solar system had a DIN rail this would be good? Anyway, I returned it.The software was awesome.
