Great for Monitory Crawl Space Temperature and Humidity
Discovering the WiFi Humidity Temperature Monitor: Smart Hygrometer Thermometer has been nothing short of a game-changer for maintaining the perfect environment in my crawlspace, especially when it comes to the nerve-wracking task of ensuring my PEX pipes don’t freeze during the harsh winter months. This ingenious device is the silent guardian that keeps disaster at bay, providing me with peace of mind that is priceless.First off, the ease of setup and use is remarkable. Within minutes, I had the device up and running, connected to my WiFi, and sending real-time updates straight to my smartphone. The user interface of the app is intuitive, making it simple to monitor the temperature and humidity levels from anywhere, anytime. This level of accessibility and control is what sets this smart hygrometer thermometer apart from its peers. The accuracy of the readings is another area where this device shines. It provides precise temperature and humidity measurements, ensuring I’m always in the know if the conditions in my crawlspace start to approach levels that could risk my PEX pipes freezing. With this monitor, I can take preemptive action to adjust the heating or insulation as needed, avoiding the costly and troublesome scenario of dealing with burst pipes.Additionally, the device’s sleek design and compact size mean it’s unobtrusive and can be placed anywhere without being an eyesore. But don’t let its small stature fool you; this monitor is a powerhouse of functionality, offering features like alert notifications that are customizable, so I’m only informed when necessary. In summary, the WiFi Humidity Temperature Monitor: Smart Hygrometer Thermometer is an essential tool for anyone looking to protect their home from the damages of freezing pipes. It’s an investment in security, convenience, and peace of mind. Highly recommended for its reliability, accuracy, and user-friendly design.

Stuck in C° and app logs out frequently.
This is my second SmartLife device. My first was the multifunction alarm. That alarm worked great, but this thermometer feels like a cheap junky piece of plastic and I have doubts about its accuracy. The worst part is I get logged out of the app a lot and my thermometer is stuck in Celsius. This is pretty frustrating. *update : this thermometer is over 4 degrees off from my other thermometers in the room, you can only calibrate it + or – 2° in the app which makes this useless for real time tracking and triggering other devices.

Works with Home Assistant! Cheapest temp/humidity WIFI sensor you can buy!
Love these! Inexpensive and really easy to configure in the app and they also work with Home Assistant with the Tuya integration. Cheap enough that you can have them everywhere. I use them to monitor my house temps when I’m away. They come with 2xAAA batteries that will last a little longer than a year.Out of the box, install the SmartLife app on your mobile device, then connect your mobile to whatever WIFI network you want the sensor to be connected to. Do this prior to installing the batteries in the sensor. If you’re running a WIFI network just for smart devices and want this device connected to that network, you need to put your mobile device on that network first. That is the network the app will register the device to. Once that is done, go into the app, hit add device, then install the batteries and it should pop right up in the app to be added and named. The sensor only stays in pairing mode for a minute or so once the batteries are installed, so you need to be ready with the app. If the sensor can’t be found, reboot by removing and reinstalling the batteries to put it back into pairing mode.Note that in the mobile app, once you change the preference from degrees “C” to “F”, it will take about 24 hours for the change to take effect. This only affects the mobile app and not Home Assistant.

challenging setup, i liked them at first. HORRIBLE battery life until rechargeable NIMH batteries!
recently purchased these to monitor temp and humidity in two rooms of my home. very small and sleek look, they even include double sided tape to mount the sensor. app is ok, but could be better. these run on 2.4GHZ networks only. took several attempts to get them to connect, but once connected, haven’t had any issues. by default it displays Celsius and Not Fahrenheit. I really wish all products marketed to the united states would just do away with Celsius.. it’s really useless unless your outside of the united states. sensors run on TWO AAA batteries. looking forward to seeing how long the batteries last. you can even set up alarms for certain thresholds. time will tell. sensors were cheap enough, so we will see.update 10/22/24** i have a total of 3 of these, all work perfectly, however one sensor seems to constantly give me low battery warnings after about 5 weeks or so, i suspect that the sensor may be bad, but i just ignore the warning and i will replace batteries when it finally stops working. other than this slight drawback, it still reports the temprature perfectly.update 12-22-24**these work well, but are battery hogs, seems like the most i can get out of the batteries is give or take 2 months, really disappointed with the battery life. they are accurate and i can access when not at home (via wifi) but the battery life leaves alot to be desired.HORRIBLE battery life- i would really avoid these sensors. they just simply go through batteries too faast.update 5/14/25*** out of curiosity, i decided to get some NIMH rechargeable AAA batteries, i got a set from walmart (rayovac) and a set of amazon basics brand.Happy to report that on average, these batteries last 32 days when fully charged! i was lucky to get 2 weeks out of the non rechargeable batteries, so if your thinking of tossing these sensors, just get yourself some good NIMH rechargeables. it saves alot of money, and these sensors work very well, i was about to throw them away until i tried the rechargeable batteries, so all is well now. give it a shot, you will be suprised.
