Physical switch + smart control = win
I have a living room lamp that’s been on a wireless wall remote switch/outlet combo for years. Great feature, since you can just hit the wall switch instead of leaning over the couch to reach the lamp. I have other lamps with smart bulbs, but still prefer the switch by the door for that one. Except when I don’t — like when I forget to turn it off before getting into bed.When that previous outlet finally failed, I looked around for one that had both smart and physical switch functions. Surprisingly scarce! This might be the only one in existence that doesn’t require an extra hardware bridge.Pros:1) It uses the popular Smart Life app, same as other generic-ish items you may already have (or eventually will). Just add outlet to SmartLife. In my case, Alexa automatically saw it too. I appreciate not having to deal with yet-another-proprietary-app.2) The physical switch is designed similar to a standard rocker light-switch (though it’s not actually a rocker). Many wireless switch/outlet gadgets use a switch with little buttons like a remote. Hard to fumble for the right button in the dark. This switch solves that problem (and looks a lot less weird on the wall.). The switch plate is optional, so you can also use the switch as a handheld remote if you prefer.3) Switch doesn’t interfere with the smart setting. Since the switch is not *actually* a rocker, it doesn’t store an on/off position or physically cut power to the outlet. So if you turn it off with the switch, you can still turn it back on with the app or Alexa. This is handy when you want to be able to just hit the switch on the way out the door, then have it turn on via app or schedule before you arrive home.So far the switch has worked flawlessly through both smart access and the switch.Cons: My one quibble is there’s no apparent way to replace the battery in the switch. Often, switches like these use a coin cell battery and the draw is sufficiently minimal that it might last a decade — at which point you’re expected to replace the whole thing. But, it might *not* last that long. If there were competitors offering models with a replaceable battery I’d dock a star. But given this very useful item seems somewhat of a unicorn at this point, and they got everything else right design-wise, I’ll keep it at five stars.I’m hoping this lasts a long time, but I’ll update the review if it doesn’t.

Great Range, works perfect. Multiple uses around the house.
This was purchased for use on outdoor sting lighting. Although not stated for outdoor use, the outlet is under cover and shielded from the weather totally. They are led, so there is minimal current draw. This switch sits up on the counter near a window overlooking the covered patio. A simple press of the switch activates the lights and activates the red LED on the plug. So simple and convenient, and the signal goes through our concrete construction home with no issues. I have not mounted it, and just use it solo of the panel. I can already think of many uses for a switch like this and will likely be buying more!

Great for hard to reach areas
This switch works great. I have a electrical outlet on the ceiling of my garage that is always live. I was able to install a light on the ceiling and plug it into this switch. Now I can turn the light on and off with the remote switch mounted on the wall.
