Only for Smart Life app
I did a lot of research to find what I was looking for, I was already using the Smart Life app to control my lights and and some outlets in my home. And I wanted to be able to set up remote controled buttons and switches around the house for the lights.So if you’re using the Smart Life home app this product is for you. Keep in mind the Smart Life app utilizes Tuya not all smart home apps use tuya, And this hub will not work for some of those apps.Also keep in mind that this is just a communication hub, for products that rely on the less energy intensive zigbee communication, instead of Wifi. I would highly encourage you to do research before purchasing a zigbee hub for your devices. Make sure the one you’re buying is compatible. AND THEN PURCHASE THE ZIGBEE PRODUCTS. The zigbee controlled products also must use TUYA for there communication. Otherwise the hub will not register the zigbee product. This is all kind of confusing so purchase Smart home devices with caution. Best of luck!

The setup to 2.4G WiFi was hassle free, and adding Zigbee devices took no time at all. It keeps a steady connection with no dropouts, and the Tuya/Smart Life app lets me manage everything remotely and create smart automations effortlessly. It works smoothly with both Alexa and Google Assistant. Small, sturdy, and affordable—easily the best budget hub for Tuya Zigbee gear!

It’s been an excellent experience since we started using it normally, and it feels like a very solid and high-quality piece of gear that has quickly become a staple for everyone in the family who uses our smart devices.A really nice touch is the dual-mode functionality, supporting both ZigBee 3.0 and Bluetooth 5.0. Speaking of performance, it has been absolutely amazing at bridging my various sensors and lights; it connects to our 2.4GHz WiFi and stays rock-solid, which is a total game-changer for our home automation. Setting it up with the Smart Life app was fantastic and only took a few seconds, which is a huge plus for getting everything running without a headache. It’s powered by a Type-C cable, which is awesome because I can even run it off a small power bank if we ever have a brief power outage.My one little thing, however, is that you have to be very careful about compatibility since it only works with devices that use the Tuya protocol. It’s not a deal-breaker at all, but you definitely want to double-check your smart plugs or bulbs before buying, as it won’t work with brands like Sengled or certain door locks. Also, the initial pairing with the phone took me two tries to get it to “see” the gateway, but once it was linked, the firmware update was quick and everything has been stable ever since. Having it tucked away in the hallway, it still reaches devices across the house with no lag, which is fantastic.All in all, I’m really happy with this wireless gateway. It works perfectly, delivers fantastic range for its size, and is a very appealing option for anyone looking to build a budget-friendly smart home setup. My wife is super happy that we don’t have a giant, bulky hub sitting on the counter, and I’m super happy with its good performance and how easy it makes controlling our home remotely. Cannot connect to DECO router.
Could never get it to connect to the router. Tried both the Smart Life and Tuya apps (which are really the same anyway) but always came up with a failed to connect message. Even forced my router into 2.4Ghz only mode since it can use the same SSID for both frequencies and still would not connect. Have no choice but to return this item.
