The switch works just fine
This product seems to be working just fine with Alexa. You MUST wait about 5 minutes after you turn on the power for the switch to work. It WILL NOT work immediately after you turn on the power. I believe the reason this gets returned allot is because whoever installed the switch did not wait after the power was turned back on and thought the switch is defective. Not sure why you have to wait, but you must. You can also use your existing switch plate if you wish and not use the one that came with the switch. I believe this is a fine product. The price is a bit high, but seems to work just fineThe very next day I sent this review the switch lost connectivity. Since I have a 3-band router from Xfinity 2.4g/5g/6gand the switch works only on 2.4g I went into my routers settings 10.0.0.1 and disabled the 5g and 6g so only the 2.4g works. The switch has been fine since. Type 10.0.0.1 into the address bar in your browser in you have an xfinity router. Other aftermarket routers have their own number to type in the address bar.

It works (sort of) until it doesn’t!
Followed the instruction and set it up with no issue. Had to reset it every time I needed to change the on/off schedule – which was a pain, but it was manageable. It stopped working after a year. Tried resetting the device and pairing it again following the instructions. Even tried different WiFis, hotspots, phones. No success. Contacted the help center. They were quick in responding but they sent me the same instructions again. Gave it the benefit of the doubt and played along. Even unwired the switch. Reinstalled and reset the device following the instructions I was sent again. The sane problem occurred: stopped pairing half way through the process and gave an error message. Clicking on the error produced the same instructions! Frustrated with the process, sent another message to the help center. They responded by asking me to record a complete video of the network operation and send it to them!! Setting a light switch should not be so technically enigmatic that would require an expert review of a video of the complete network operations specially when the product has been set up and rest successfully multiple times in the past. I found this to be clear case of a company not acknowledging that their product has failed, and rather than sending a replacement, they try to convince the customers that they must be doing something wrong. Very disappointed with the product and the company.

Works perfect when you don’t have a Neutral wire. Easy to install and setup. Simple to use manually or thru the app to schedule on/off functions. Definitely recommended.

Worked as hoped and connected easily to my home WiFi. The face-plate was a bit difficult to get to snap in place and not leave a gap at the wall. Operation is noisy but does its job. Alexa skill connected to the device and worked as hoped also. Also has the app on my IPhone and works well.

Totally easy to install. Just make sure you have the hotline connected to the black. Initially. I put it in backwards soon as I changed it it worked perfectly. Programming was easy and it now works well by voice command from Alexa and Google home

Overall poor quality product
Horrible value for money. Too expensive and I’m having a very hard time connecting it on my app. Connection starts and then it keeps failing. Once it fails, it take a good 10 min to reset and then you can try connecting again. This is a very cumbersome process, especially for how expensive the switch is.

Worked great.. for about 2 days
I thought I found the fix all for my 1940’s era house. Install went fairly easily, the hardware is attractive and seems to be made with good quality. After installation and flipping the breaker back on you have to wait a few minutes for the internal capacitor to “charge” before the switch will work (this is mentioned in the instructions). Low and behold it worked great, I added the unit to the Smart Life app, Alexa recognized it straight away and I was good to go. I used it multiple times over a period of 2 days and then the switch completely stopped responding. Both to physically pressing the on/off button and to anything smart related. I flipped breaker multiple times, removed the switch to check wiring and nothing. I ended up reinstalling the original Lutron dimmer switch and lights work again. So whatever happened, the switch appears to have failed, luck of the draw perhaps, because I was very happy with the quality and function initially. Luckily for me this motivated me to crawl around in my attic and I’ve identified a relatively easy way to get a neutral wire to this switch location, so I’m just going to go that route. I returned the defective switch. I would have tried a replacement unit had I not decided to run a new neutral wire, so your mileage may vary. The switch did function flawlessly when it worked.

This device goes offline and the only way to get the switch to function is to re-pair it, after the device looses power

el producto no funciona ya que no apaga por completo el foco, se quede prendido muy tenue, con luz casi inperceptible pero de noche se ve claramente que el foco queda prendido, con otra lampara de queso se queda parpadeando todo el tiempo al estar apagada ya configurado.
